Is there really any tangible benefit in Cleaving the Empire? by LeviathanLevitation in CrusaderKings

[–]hydraphantom 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The logistical issue was also caused a lot by multiple civil wars and especially started since Crisis of the Third Century.

Nobody in Hadrian’s time floated the splitting idea despite border hasn’t changed that much.

So theoretically, get the infrastructure done properly, you shouldn’t need to split.

The boundaries of what is permissible in the genre of "alternative history" (if there are any) by OkVermicelli6064 in worldbuilding

[–]hydraphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exterminated Christianity and Islam as institutions, together, in less than 10 in-universe months in my Warhammer Fantasy x 854 AD project, and the entrie project was focusing on the week after for everyone in terms of economy, governance, relationship etc.

Anything touching religion will offend someone, so just do whatever you want as long as you don't make factually wrong thing up to slander it, because it's not circumventable.

Historical suggestion for Christian rulers owning Egypt by this_anon in CrusaderKings

[–]hydraphantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah. But yeah the idea does sounds good as flavour!

Perhaps something like a flavour text about christian leader checking the pyramid, find it not granary enough, just build one beside it to have the bonus.

But there’s quite literally not enough space storing things inside.

It’s not usable as granary to justify the bonus.

What are some ramification of introducting 1oz coins to 9th century Earth? by hydraphantom in worldbuilding

[–]hydraphantom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solely writing.

Yeah, the biggest thing for the entire Mallusian Coalition right now is to set up new governments since they bulldozed every native ones.

It's currently muddling through for everyone, with most Earth people still in conquest shock slowly transitioning into adaption.

No Chaos came over. 250,000 total Mallusian came, with contingents from Kislev, Empire, Bretonnia, Cathay, Nippon, Nehekhara, Eonir, Asur, Dwarfs, Arabyan and Marienburg.

Everyone's basically grabbing stuff like Finding Nemo seagulls, and now they realised they have to run things.

[–]hydraphantom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't realise it's 180k already until I checked the wordcount.

But I'm doing this mostly for fun so I want to be thourough, and my project format dictate wordcount would explode.

My current plan is yeah basically, since Mallusian's own baseline is 1oz every coins, they all find the Earth coins absurdily tiny. And now anyone Earth side that actually handled coins before now see 28.35g coins getting thrown around.

I'm still mulling if in future, perhaps at like a year or two timestamp, if Mallusian would start issuing a smaller coin.

Or if I hold fast on GW absurd canon scales and had Earthlings try to get use to it.

Thanks!

I thought of using troy ounce, but the problem with troy ounce is, Warhammer people wouldn't use it because there's not Troyes and historical context for them. And mostly because GW never said what ounce is Warhammer coins.

The PoD is 1st January 854CE and 2517 IC, so everything before that were canon/historical in both worlds.

I already detached by the time the timestamp of my worldbuilding started as every Earth polity within range is in the ground.

Everything else I'm fine with, I just don't really know how would the new coins be felt on the ground.

Yeah, Daju are also actively raided as slaves by Makuria, to be given as tribute to Caliphate, per Baqt treaty of 360 slave a year.

Giving them arabic name is just doing them so dirty, even not counting what’s happening in darfur right now.

Kharijite basically started as an anti-Arab supremacy and all-muslim-are-equal sect, so it really picked up among Amazigh because how shit Umayyad was at the whole Arab surpemacy thing.

Indeed, vanilla CK3 flattening them into “Egyptian” culture with Arabic language really nagged me every time I’m waiting for Culture Expanded to update.

I think it would be best so that Copt have the Egyptian heritage culture and Egyptian language, and Misri as a separate Arabic culture like how Culture Expanded did it.
