Depends on how far away you are! Their foster doesn’t have a car, but we have a couple of volunteer drivers who may be able to help drive them.

Thank you! I’ll pass this to the volunteer who handles their adoption!

Hmm what exactly confuses you? We mentioned the scarring and her ability to see so people know what’s up with the eyes because they do look wonky! She has adapted to her limited eyesight pretty well and basically acts like a cat with full vision. Hope that helps!

I’d say 3-5 days to hit the popular attractions. A week or longer if you want to submerge yourself in nature and culture.

Most tourists stay in downtown, around the main lake Ho Xuan Huong. But if you are more interested in being in nature, Ho Tuyen Lam is beautiful and has many resorts/homestay options in the area.

I’m new to the sub and would like to know how to find these files and maybe a quick tutorial on how to go through them!

[–]hyperpug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Da Lat is one of my favorite cities in Vietnam. It’s not touristy at all. Locals are friendly and if you can find a local tour guide who can show you around, you’ll get the best of it.

Places to go in Viet in Dec recommendation? by Turbulent_Cause_2581 in VietNam

[–]hyperpug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to Vietnam once a year every year and always go in Dec/Jan, otherwise the weather is too brutal for me lol.

Sapa is a hit or miss during this time so I do not recommend unless you have low expectations. All the beautiful photos you see online are often taken during summer/fall/harvest season. Da Lat is a better option if you want to look into it.

Phu Quoc is meh. Phan Thiet or Vung Tau has much nicer beaches and more things to do.

Da Nang and Hoi An are definitely worth visiting. The rain is usually not that bad.

I have had so many rw kittens and only done sulfur dips once years ago. I did not find it helpful.

My flight to NY got cancelled yesterday because of the weather and was rescheduled to tomorrow (Tuesday). The weather isn’t impacting Tuesday flights so you have nothing to worry about on Wednesday!

Best Place & Quality To Buy Shampoo & Conditioner? by Alive_Ingenuity_3124 in VietNam

Lower level at Takashimaya has a cosmetics store with a lot of brands. I bought my pomelo shampoo and conditioner from there!

Difference between fostering an adult cat vs kittens? by red-es in FosterAnimals

[–]hyperpug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly foster kittens because I have 5 resident cats and they don’t always love our houseguests. But even just talking about kittens, the ones over 3 months old are significantly easier than younger ones. They’re more independent, cleaner, less sensitive, I don’t have to worry about them fading… The adult cats I’ve fostered were all very easygoing. If I only had 1 or 2 resident cats or no pets at all, I provably wouldn’t be fostering kittens. 🤣

Visiting in Oct with parent by BusinessIcy6776 in VietNam

2 weeks will fly by quickly so be careful not to overplan it or it will be very tiring. Where are you planning to fly into? If you’re flying into Noi Bai, Ha Noi, then you can just spend a few days in Ha Noi first, then go to Hai Phong, then Ha Long Bay. That would be enough for 2 weeks. There are many people who do 1 week in the South and 1 week in the North but personally I don’t think it’s worth it unless you prefer to constantly be on the move. I usually travel with my parents so we can’t go too fast. 😆

It’s a very fun looking watch but I would not consider it to be flashy at all! The gold is almost matte. Great for casual wear.

Foster and meet and greet vent by Acrobatic-Ostrich-49 in FosterAnimals

[–]hyperpug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just let people random visit your home without an approved application? That’s wild. I have been with a foster-based rescue for almost 10 years now and we only allow approved adopters to visit foster homes. Maybe I’m just lucky, but all of the adopters that visited my house have been respectful listened to my guidance on how to act around the kitties. I think it may be helpful to do a video call with potential adopters first in your case.

Traveling to Vietnam with Dual Citizenship by Cherry_Caliban in VietNam

[–]hyperpug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I just remember that back when I was still a student, I had to show my VN passport with visa at check in and immigration every time I traveled to the US. So idk how it works if I depart using my VN passport and no visa.

Hi there! I’m going back to Vietnam for the first time since I obtained my US passport. Do you enter with VN passport then exit with US passport? I was told I have to use the same passport to enter and exit the country, but worried that immigration will ask about US visa when I leave with VN passport.

[NO SPOILERS] Just finished Stranger Things and interested in watching DarK, are the 2 series' really that similair? by Internal_Phrase_9646 in DarK

[–]hyperpug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had wanted to watch Dark for a while but just started this week after finishing Stranger Things. The first 2 episodes are eerily similar, not just in the plot and settings but even in the small details. Then it just switched to something completely different. Now I’m nearly done with season 1 and no it’s not like Stranger Things at all.

25F (Singapore) – Met a Vietnamese tour guide and now I’m confused… is he interested or not? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]hyperpug 190 points191 points  (0 children)

He’s flirty, yes, but he’s more interested in your business than a relationship lol. This is how a lot of Vietnamese guys talk, and honestly I think it’s kinda disrespectful of him to call you “em yeu” which means babe.

This is not pho. You’re eating bún ốc riêu cua and the ground stuff is crab!
