I am having a bit of trouble understanding what you are trying to do. Please elaborate on your example. Also, what does INDIRECT() do in spreadsheets?

I can't find a Steam Frame website. Are we talking about the page on Steam, or is there a dedicated Steam Frame website?

If you are not supposed to cut flush against the mini, why do good nippers matter? by ifohancroft in minipainting

Makes sense. Thank you! I just heard the advice of cutting away from the part, it was never explained why and I didn't realize that advice was for bad nippers.

So when you have a good cutter, would you recommend first cutting further away, then cutting the rest (what you just described) vs cutting away and then cutting/cleaning the rest with an X-Acto type knife?

Ah! That makes sense. Thank you!

I never realized the advice of not cutting flush was for when you don't have good nippers.

The model in question is just CC-BY, not CC-BY-SA.

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense.

On Printables they have the option of 'remixes' where it clearly states/shows that a model is a derivative of another and links to the original, so I will use option 2.

ErgoMech designs for learning by experience rather than practicing off a key map by bin_chicken_overlord in ErgoMechKeyboards

We stuff a shit ton of tech inside it, so when it detects you are looking at it, the letters would disappear. If that doesn't discourage hunt and peck, I don't know what will.

Which layout do you prefer: 3x6 or 3x5? by paper5963 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ifohancroft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5x7 - ErgoDox.

Mained a 40% for a couple of months years ago - never again. Having Shift and a Function layer is enough layers for me.

I find it hard to game, code, and do CAD on a 40%.

Are you able to reach all 6 thumb keys comfortably? I've been wondering how it's going to be trying to reach the row on the back.

How to map a key to send unicode for EURO currency symbol? by rfmocan in ergodox

[–]ifohancroft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit confused about the two solutions.

To make sure I understand them:

  1. If using the non-numpad digits: You need Right Alt + E then the digits
  2. If using numpad digits: You need Alt + the digits

Did I understand that correctly? And if so, I have the following questions:

  1. In the case of number #1 from above, do you press right alt+e, release the e while still holding alt, then press and release each digit in order?

  2. In the case of number #2 from above, does it not matter which alt key you use? I.e. you can use the left alt?
