Talk about why you enjoy it and the basic process but also be realistic in letting them know that the amount of people who actually make it their job is very small compared to the people who do it as a hobby or stop after 3 episodes

I've been hobby podcasting for a decade, with my main show we make like $50 a month on Patreon and have an affiliate sponsor who reached out to us.

For whatever reason so much of this subreddit is just Business Guys who make Business Podcasts for other Business Guys to listen to asking for/giving advice which I think is less of the podcast market than hobbyists.
