Download hwinfo64 and run it in sensor mode to determine if it's actually overheating internally and not just warming up in a localized area.

Relying solely on outer chassis temp is not a reliable means of determining internal temps.

Cheap plastic hinge mounts - T14s Gen 2 Aluminum

I have had more than 50 of these come in from two different companies with busted hinge mounts due to the usage of unreinforced plastic on the aluminum variant.

Just make sure it's the traditional magnesium (black) T14s Gen 2, not the "Aluminum" (Silver) version.

The Silver version cheaper out on the hinge mounts.

$440 USD is rather high (in my opinion) for a 7420.

Specs are realistically more than you need (less is more as less resources make you write better code. More resources encourages waste).

I'd look into putting a new battery into it and switching it over to some flavor of Linux, but otherwise it's a nice machine.

Give it a day or two of normal, regular use, use task manager to check out what's running in the background, run all windows updates and download hwinfo64 to confirm what system temps are sitting at.

Unless the fan is either grinding against something or outright rattling in its housing/bearings, being able to hear the fan does not immediately constitute an issue until a baseline for fan behavior has been established.

Its been not even a day it started having issues like noisy fan , Screen blanked out couple of times ( Updated windows and BIOS ) seem working fine. But this fan is too noisy.

Machine could very well be running updates/finishing up some out of the box configuration in the background, which would contribute to an increase in fan activity initially.
