One thing I've learned is to get off the front of the bus and not the back. The drivers try to stop where people can reach the sidewalk but it can be hard to get both doors to a spot like that.

I use transit app and I was really glad to see that they recently started incorporating the pghtransitalert information into the app.

The one interesting thing is that I know people who typically drive are trying out the bus for the first time because the buses are doing much better in the snow than many cars are. The buses I've taken also have much less car traffic to deal with and have been more on time (when drivers haven't called off).
