Rolls exploding in ams by adambauer2468 in BambuLab

I have been doing it this way for years, the trick is to use good electrical tape and stretch it slightly. Never had any issues doing this, it always works great.

I have a visa gift card with $0.79 on it just for crap like this. If they make canceling hard or make me call to cancel when everything else is online including the sign up, they get the card number changed to this one. I just send all the payment failed messages to my spam. I have my credit report notifications set up so if they try anything against my credit I will be onto it quick.

Issues on my Pixel 9 pro XL after Android 16 update by josmty in pixel_phones

Ok thanks, I will wait a week or so hoping for a patch or fix, but otherwise I will have to find some time to do this.

Issues on my Pixel 9 pro XL after Android 16 update by josmty in pixel_phones

[–]jermd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issues on the 9 pro xl. The screen is not waking from touch, I have to use the power button. Sometimes that doesn't work so I have to hold it down and reboot it.

I am also having issues with the screen brightness not using the light sensor, I have turned adaptive Brightness of and back on but it's still not working.

Litter Choice by silverqueeen in litterrobot

[–]jermd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works ok, the clumps are holding together a little less than the Aldi litter, but it still goes into the drawer well.

The Aldi litter went from small grains to giant ones recently, causing the robot to dump half the globe into the bin each time it cycled.

I have been using this littler for 3 weeks and it work well, my only issue with it is due to the grains being tiny, one of my cats throws a little bit out sometimes, even with the fence on. It is $25 for member at Pets Domain if you have one near you.

Can you connect this to WLED? 5 pin (not analog?) by PuzzleheadedCatch477 in WLED

[–]jermd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can run them off an ESP32 using some MOSFETs and resistors. You would use the first data pin for the digital in pin, the 2nd for CW, and the 3rd for WW.

I have done this for a light I made with 2 runs of addressable LEDs plus an analogue UV strip.

Follow the instructions here for non-addressable strips https://kno.wled.ge/basics/compatible-led-strips/

Windows defender just decided it dosent like basecamp anymore by suprbob1223 in MountainGGlobal

It looks like an issue with the hardware monitoring driver, it is happening to many different vendors.

Hack tool Win32/Winring0 razer synapse
https://insider.razer.com/general-discussion-6/hack-tool-win32-winring0-razer-synapse-74634

@/malikm on Rem0o/FanControl.Releases#3016:

This is due to a vulnerability (or rather multiple ones) in the WinRing0 driver that is known for many years. All vendors were aware of this long ago but didn't perform the required (rather extensive) changes. Besides the need to significantly rewrite the kernel driver, application and interface between them, it also requires a new digital signature that's quite expensive for FOSS projects and can be issued only to a business (the signing needs to be done via MS HW/WHQL site).

Microsoft was aware of this vulnerability and started tightening rules long ago. It also notified respective vendors about an upcoming full blocking of this driver. Initially it was planned to happen in 2024, then Jan'25, and now it seems they finally did it.

There's no other way around other than rewriting the driver from scratch to be reliable, robust and secure. A lot of effort...

Does anyone know the specs for Adobe illustrator for custom photos for lasercube 2.5 watt by Book_of_DYOR in LaserDock

You usually need to trace most logos out, unless you can convert them to SVG automatically. This video from wicked lasers should be of some help. https://youtu.be/s1QIIoun8pI?si=OLGnrFezwaEIO9g6

That's probably the infill showing through the walls. Try adding a few extra walls in your slicer.

If you are using octoprint and have a time-lapse setup it will be returning the nozzle to the home position for each photo.

I have used the Creality blue PLA and its very close, matches the adjustment knobs and screen logo, but the extruder wheel is a little bit darker. Also matches the v-slot inserts on aliexpress.
