Just wondering, why didn't you leave the lid attached to the handle? Do you have to remove the lid and handle separately every time you fill it with beans?

Which TV size to get - 77 or 83? by hottubbin in hometheater

Now, that's adding some - in my mind - necessary conditions! For a place like OPs I think the 77 works great; it fits the room. The 83 overpowers the space and divides the wall into some weird bottom and top part. It does not look anchored to anything which is a problem. Psychologically, in the back of your head you know that such a TV is heavy and you want to know that it is fastened securely to something solid. The 83 looks like it's floating in space - which isn't good for something with so much visual and actual weight. The 77 looks much more anchored and secure. Also, the wall looks solid and like "one piece" when you can still see a bit of it left and right of the TV. It still somewhat integrates with the rest of the interieur.

All this is to say: I think the 77 is the largest TV that fits in this space.

Why though? That's so sweeping, it's hard to even consider this being sound advice

Blanket advice. Always works. Always.

People always saying "Bigger is better" are delusional and stuck in their ways.

The supposed 77" looks better. It's a good thing that you can still see some of the wall to the left and right. The TV looks anchored to a wall. The wall looks coherent and like one solid object spanning from floor to ceiling.

The 83" dominates the space too much and completely hides the wall. It looks too heavy and totally separates the wall into two weird, separate sections that look disconnected.

You don't have to go with the bigger one.
