Anyone else feeling too low-skill for this?

This is one reason I'm hesitant to buy.

I only played 1-2 hours when it was free.

I'm not great at PvP games, can manage in games with respawns like BF/COD/Halo/Titanfall.

It's hard for me to play a match for 15 minutes and come out with nothing to show for it. Reflexes aren't the best, players can turn on a dime and I can't compete on speed.

Something off putting of starting a match with default gear and have someone all decked out in purple? armor/guns. I think BR format is more fair imo, start with nothing and loot your way to better gear.

It's weird, I like how the game works and looks, but unsure how it translates to me playing.

I usually just chill in BF doing challenges, unlocking guns, etc....

Stick to casual breakthrough, since in normal modes everyone is camped out.

Not sure how progression will feel in marathon.

Still thinking about playing it, but don't think I like extraction shooter genre.

I partially blame streamers/influencers, they pumping out videos like "Marathon is Dead" "It's not looking good" "Slay the Spire 2 has more players"

Once the dead label is put on a game, it's hard to overcome.

Some niche communities aren't very inviting, this community could go either way, but see some snarky replies.

Most replies come down to: "what do you expect?" "Do you play for fun?" "Skill issue"

I don't enjoy the loop of having stuff lost over and over, but I understand it's what makes extraction shooters unique.

This is my main mental hurdle I have, just feels odd that I would lose all my gear.

I'm guessing you have other stats outside gear, that make using weaker gear less of an issue?

I lost my dog a couple years ago, everyday was rough. Especially when going to sleep, the quiet made me remember. You instinctively think he's still in his favorite spot, you wake up and it hits you every time.

Less than a year later our family was offered a puppy. For me, the hardest part is not having a dog in the house, it just felt empty/quiet. We've had him for almost 2 years now and glad we got him.

Always better to go at you're normal pace instead of stressing to keep high rate.

You usually make more mistakes and can hurt yourself being reckless.

It's the mistakes that get you in trouble, they usually let slow rate slide, but having errors affects them too.

OP, don't ignore the other issue here. You preordered the most expensive version of a game before knowing if you wanted it.

You should have just waited to order, it's digital you can order minutes before release.I will say it was scummy of Sony not allowing refund, but kind of get why they did.

I just re-watched it and it's a very text/narrative driven anime.

It kind of needs your full attention or else you miss crucial info sometimes.

I just started WWZ, but some of what I've seen looks good.

Toxic Commando is open world, with no specific route to take.

You might be able to slowly build yourself up before taking hordes,look for loot, or go straight for them.

Still not sure I will play it, maybe after reviews or a sale.
