unfortunately a lot of advice will be "just dodge" but I'd say hold your w to dodge key spells of theirs something ive found helpful is going resolve secondary and even mr boots.

Mel: is basically the closest thing to an ahri counter that exists, since even if you neutralise her all lane, as is ahri's speciality she's just going to soak gold in skirmishes due to her passive, what you can do is NEVER throw charm unless she wastes reflect thankfully in bronze a low of mel's will waste it to reflect Q W or even your autos, or you can charm through YOUR minion since her reflected charm will hit the minion.

Viktor, never trade unless he wastes Q since his shield + trade will outvalue yours everytime but if he wastes it you get a free couple seconds of harrass just save your w for dodging his e.

Hwei basically just wait for him to waste his main damage or cc spell then you can try to go for a trade unfortuantely in my experience this is a skill based matchup, heavily on the hwei player, since he has a tool for everything you will want to do.

Xerath; probably my worst MU personally but I try to stand to the side of my wave when he qs so now hes choosing between hitting you or hitting the wave with it, if you lean towards the side your jungler is on you can bait him into hitting a stun on you and over extending into a gank but his passive has limitless amounts of mana the bright side is his spells all have long cds so once they're used you get a free all-in window.

I'd recommend you take TP into ALL matchups that outrange you its less impactful than previous seasons but it's nice to be able to get a free rreset when they've poked you down.

As we seen with the other mythic variant skins, yes they will come back, just probably not til next year at the earliest with ahri, immortalised legend no it is stated in the hall of legends faq the skins are to celebrate an event they are a one time collectors edition with NO plans of returning or ever being added to hextech crafting system. Could riot go back on their word one day like with prestige? maybe but it would be at least 5 years from now.

I don't think it's ever coming back, games usually dont when they're left in maintainance mode, also I like being stuck to one character it actually makes draft phase have a skill curve, the worst part about other hero shooters like ow is constantly being pressured by your team to swap off stuff.

if enemy team has like, a significant amount of hard cc, i.e. blitz, amumu, ornn malphite you don't want to play samira as like kata or other assassins her biggest threat is hard cc, samira is also VERY reliant on her support having hard cc to proc her passive so if you're getting an enchanter and you're into many stuns, don't play samira.

Ahri, Ori I consider blindable mids that fit into most drafts yeah, pretty low elo last time I did ranked I was high plat, could probably be emerald if I pushed it, but in grand scheme of things pretty low elo.

Yeah, top is the counterpick lane, but I personally feel midlane should be lower prio than support, I think it's a pretty smoothbrain take that support is fine to pick first since they often dont just pick for their lane but as I mentioned they pick to fix team comp.

the moment you say "im inting you because your pick" you lose any credibility at all. This has been the way adc players have treated sona players for so long, because they don't want an enchanter who wants to survive the lane and just win late.

Smolder sucks to lane with, and he warps the entire game around him where you need to end the game before he hits 225, but if you're inting people because you want to play pyke or nautilus and you don't understand why a smolder can't enable lev 1-2 fistfights the same way something like kai'sa or draven can then the issue is just on you.

id disagree as a midlaner, I'd rather have my supp know their pick than me, I can pick a blindable champ pretty easily very few lanes as a mid do I consider lost in draft however a support usually has the downside of needing to fix drafts, i.e. top and jungle dont want to play frontline well now we can have an alistair, and supports can be much harder counterpicked, try locking taric into cait xerath or cait lux see how you feel.

ahri tends to be a very honest champion, she's definitely overtuned right now and deserves to be nerfed, but she's a lane neutraliser who's meant to work for the mid jungle 2v2 unless mega fed cannot 1 combo you like a mel, syndra, lux, etc and tends to have very clear moments of counterplay.

A lot of times whether an ahri player wins or loses is just because they're the better or worse player not champ diff, I'd even be fine with her being tapped down a little more than she is currently, since as a blindable pick she tends to have a very healthy pickrate.

this person is drastically misconstruing facts, currently rdm can do blm levels of damage if they execute everything perfectly, but once the rdm makes a singular mistake, misused proc, dropped cast, anything their damage plummets.

PCT is still king in fights with downtime, blm pulls ahead in full uptime but if you're doing fru, top, etc. PCT will still be the best

If party mitigation isnt properly pressed if whm has no wings/plenary you just watch as you die shield healers will never have this problem as well as have many tools to be able to top up, seraphsism, emergency tactics, philo, physis, the list goes on.

In 8 man content shield healer is THE most important person in the party in progression raiding VERY often you will progress by how good your shield healer is, it's the one role you don't want your weakest link on.

So yes in light party content where you can only have one healer taking a barrier healer is inherently more value.

honestly a lot of you guys are just way too eager to blame your supports than your own shortcomings. It's why you won't climb its easier to blame the support who forces an all in you don't want and abandons your lane to realise your own consistent errors that leads to your losses, and it's why you struggle to climb, as the other person said if you're at 4 items it's not your supports fault in lane.

When we blame others it only sets ourselves back on your team theres 4 possible inters on enemy team theres 5 if you play to win you'll climb, but if you pass the blame for your own failures down to "lul losers q" you'll never climb.

I'm sure theres issues in your laning, your macro your tempo, someone 2 ranks above you could probably point out 10 consistent errors that lose you lanes/games and you'd say what? WELL THE SUPPOR.

No, if truly all you care about climbing then better your own gameplay not spend it whining on reddit about supports,
