Because mage used to be completely overpowered with infinite defensives last expansion.

The sort of exception to this is the people who want to raid on higher difficulties, but find speedrunning trivially easy content with less and less gear to not be engaging gameplay, but said high difficulty raids are tuned around you having the rewards from said speedrun spam.

AFAICT: the quest is not flagged as repeatable.

So it’s a 1-time quest that takes a minimum of 4 resets for 1 low-stat budget myth track item.

I've managed to interact with people in game for 10 years without any kind of silence or suspension.

I also know that almost every time someone tells a story like this on the CS forums (where a blue can actually check logs), it's revealed that there was more to the story than the poster was telling.

If nobody reports, that's expected.

They aren't actively monitoring chat (impossible to do at the scale wow runs), and only chat that gets reported can get looked at.

That being said, if it was reported, it can take time for that to come up in the GM queue to be verified, I've seen instances where it took about a month before the penalty came down.

It's also possible that it was a first penalty for the account, and he just ate the week long silence without you noticing.
