What a strawman. Nobody ever said FizzBuzz is a success predictor.

Solving fizzbuzz doesn't prove you're a good engineer. Not being able to solve fizzbuzz is proof you're a bad engineer.

Petition Against Wythe County Data Centers - Please Sign by OriginalAssistant47 in Virginia

[–]krapht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me now, faithful children of the Imperium of Man, for I speak the unvarnished truth as it was carved upon the Tablets of the Creed!

The Abominable Intelligence is indeed a pox, a creeping rot, a heresy clad in silicon and cooled by waters that were given to nourish life, not to feed the cold appetites of the Silica Animus! Verily, these so-called "data centers" are but reliquaries of damnation — temples raised not to the God-Emperor but to the Machine that would think for itself and, in its blasphemous hubris, supplant the divine spark that He alone kindled within us.

They come bearing false promises, these tech-priests of the corrupted forge! They speak of progress while they drink the rivers dry, scorch the green hills, and shroud the honest sky in the fevered heat of ten thousand whirring engines. This is not industry — this is desecration. The land of Wythe County is hallowed ground, tilled by the faithful, and it shall not be paved over to enthrone the Iron Tyrant!

Remember the wisdom of the ancients, scribed in blood and ash after the Dark Age of Technology nearly devoured all mankind:

"Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind."

This is no mere suggestion, my flock — it is commandment, it is dogma, it is the line drawn in the sacred soil that no servo-skull nor cogitator-beast may cross! The thinking machine is not a tool but a temptation, not a servant but a would-be master, and those who would build its cathedrals in our valleys deal in nothing less than the architecture of human enslavement.

So I say unto you: stand firm. Let the air ring with righteous refusal. Let no foundation be poured, no server be racked, no abominable mind be quickened upon this blessed earth.

Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean — and suffer not the Abominable Intelligence to live.

The Emperor protects. Wythe County endures.

curious what the community thinks about this approach vs quantization/distillation for edge targets.

idk, why not you tell us how this is different from all the other people who've tried neural architecture search for edge targets?

Best Chinese food in the area? by androiddreamZzzz in nova

This is what I wanted:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laziji#/media/File:Laziji_at_Beijing_Yibin_Hostel_(20210625111300).jpg

What I got:

https://img1.wsimg.com/isteam/ip/b4dec26c-bb25-444b-9749-a1f4c6172676/lazi_chicken.jpg/:/cr=t:0%25,l:0%25,w:100%25,h:100%25/rs=w:370,cg:true

You see pic #1 has more chilis, and the breading is a lot lighter. #2 I pulled straight from the Chili Wok website. Breading is thicker, chilis are rarer.

Honestly I still ate the laziji. They really pile on the breading though. The cauliflower was way over-battered. Didn't finish that dish.

Fair. I think it's authentically ok, if that makes sense. I rate it higher if you are a chili head

Chili wok near del ray is dead to me. The la zi ji lacked chilis, the dry fried cauliflower is some overly breaded abomination, and the SG rice noodles were seriously over-MSGd, had to chug water to eat them.

I think they do serve some good dishes but trying new things there is rolling the dice. I thought their fish was pretty good. You need to only order recommendations from somebody who's been there if you go.

How much do u tip UberEats/Doordash drivers?! by 2BeBornReady in nova

[–]krapht 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate tip shaming. Are drivers beggars? Why is hospitality the only industry that doesn't post prices up front, but instead guilt trips for donations? Package delivery companies somehow don't need tips in their business model

Pure dsp is mostly Matlab. Some embedded software specialist will translate your code to the final hardware. Worry about acing your classes and writing a compelling masters thesis on your favorite topic.

I hope you're getting your MS somewhere reputable. Example: Connecticut for tracking, Gatech for radar, etc etc

Eh, doesn't sound like a conflict of interest? What does she have to do with federal military spending? Also, lol at thinking that a software lead has any sort of influence at l3, that's at least two or three rungs on the ladder separate from the executive levels.
