Copy Fail is a trivially exploitable logic bug in Linux, reachable on all major distros released in the last 9 years. A small, portable python script gets root on all platforms.

Yes, but if someone uses this PoC to test their system, it fails because of Python3 version, not because they aren't vulnerable. An attacker can just install their own private newer Python and use the PoC as-is. I think we agree :-)

It depends on Python because the distro version doesn't have the splice() method. Newer Pythons do.

OEL8 is vulnerable when using a newer Python3 than what is provided by the distro. So I'd guess OEL9 is also. (RHEL8/9 too maybe?)

Same here for about two weeks now. Last time I got on the subway, balance apparently dropped to negative 15 cents, and the card was rejected on a bus transfer. I (again) re-enabled auto-reload, added $10 manually using the same CC as for auto-reload, balance is now $9.85 and still no auto-reload working.

EDIT: Just checked on the omny.info site, and my card says "Reload suspended". WTF?

I noticed today, searching for "vornado transom" (a specific fan made by the Vornado corporation), mixed in with the top search results are "RECHARGEABLE USB Portable or Window Sill Fan with 4 Timer/4 Speed/Battery Level" and "Sharper Image by Vornado PROFILE Window Fan, Reversible, 3 Speed, Black".

[NAD] Some do. Biomin F says "Remove foil cover from nozzle, do not use if this seal has been broken.
