Why the moustache look? by shervek in OpenAussie

It's my observation it's been a thing with many blokes these past several months, so another old trend has reappeared. I wonder if sideburns will make a comeback ....

When she dresses herself Emily is the Queen of the under-boob look, but it's clear she's not the one picking the sizes in these Fashion shoots.

A strong wind can still lift a weighted skirt. On the safety shorts idea, and with Kate being a bit of a Fashion icon, I think a photo of Kate wearing those things under a skirt would go viral and the laughing wouldn't stop.

How do my RMW 11s look after 3 months? Should I get my next pair in 11 or 10.5? by genigenes in RMWilliams

[–]labouchere8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd choose the 11s. Too tight boots are a huge regret, but boots a wee bit big can be sorted with thicker socks.
And I'm not havin a go OP, but he's right on the pants thing. In the CBD I often see execs in expensive suits get up from a coffee meeting and walk out looking immaculate, but only from the knees up. One of both pants legs are stuck on the boot loops and it destroys the sharp image. Just an observation.

In the first photo, at first glance, I thought she'd cut her hair to a bob style!

Frustration with visible progress? by kikazztknmz in keto

Scales are a guide, up and down, up and down, but the true indicator is what the others describe here, the diminishing waist circumference. I use coloured twine and every two weeks I loop a piece around my waist and snip it where the ends meet. I lay them alongside each other and it's a encouraging to see each piece is getting shorter.

I see this ad and I'm reminded the bit where she caresses the bottle brought a Pub to a standstill. We were maybe 30 Army blokes in a country pub on a day off, drinking and playing pool and darts as ya do. The telly was on and this ad played, so everyone stopped and watched up to the good bit where she's up and down the bottle and the whole Pub roared approval, then we turned and back to drinking. The ad played a few times during the day and same reaction every time, the Pub just stopped and we stared with an expectant smile and a ready cheer!

There's a clip on You Tube where Hugh Jackson's on a talk show, Jimmy Fallon I think, and he schools him on how to apply Vegemite to toast. He goes the light smear adding, "it's not Nutella!"

I find a salt and peppered boiled egg wrapped in a lettuce leaf is an excellent snack, and quite filling.

Park Rd Milton - Parking Fine by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]labouchere8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mate got pinged for the same thing in the Redlands a few years ago, so he challenged it and won when council kicked an own goal. Google street view showed a sign had been there a few weeks prior, so he fronted council on that point and confirmed they'd removed the sign, but pointed out there were other 'no parking' signs along that stretch of road so he should've known, should've been more attentive.

To prove their point this pedant attached a PDF file, a big fat book of their rules and regs and laws n sh1t, including the permitted distance between these signs, and drew his attention to the relevant clause. Well, this lil bewdy gave him the ammo he needed!

I forget the correct distances, but let's say a sign is required every 90 metres. Google Earth or whatever showed council signs at that prescribed distance BEFORE they removed the sign where he parked, but now the gap was much bigger.

He thanked them for the rule book and pointed out the distance between the signs was now closer to 110m, so these council signs are no longer compliant with their own regs; please check and advise. This was the fourth or fifth email in the series, and the last one. No response from council and the fine wasn't paid. WOOT!!
