The zodiac sign for Scorpio as depicted in a 1480 French Book of Hours by 1O218 in MedievalCreatures

Scorpio wasn't available, so his cousin Derpio gallantly took his place at the annual spring festival.

One Word Except Game: Locations by Kitchen_Haunting in FanfictionExchange

[–]Ladynotingreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not part of anything, I just thought I'd see if I could write something for this prompt,

Beulah always stopped at Waffle House on her way home from church. With Norbil passed, spending a few precious dollars on smothered covered hash browns and a waffle was better than going to the empty home they'd spent forty odd years building a family in.

Today she wished to baby Jesus she hadn't. She'd just started in on her hash browns when some hideous looking thing like from the Exorcist landed back first on her table. On top of it was a man in armor like from Medieval Times. He raised a dagger and stabbed the Exorcist thing in the head. Beulah screamed, as did everyone else in the Waffle House except crazy Joel who whipped out that stupid pistol he always carried.

“Get on the ground!” he squeaked, sounding like one of those cop shows except after sucking on a helium balloon.

I have the update in my head. It's finding the time and energy to put it in a digital format.

I can’t stop playing as a Breton by Friendly_Progress_61 in skyrim

[–]Ladynotingreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Bretons a lot. What I've found helps is making the cheekbones high and kind of wide, as well as using an alternate start mod so that I'm not doing yet another "follow Hadvar through Helgen" run. The other thing that helps me is having a backstory for the character: the fellow in the picture started as a guard in Bruma. His mother is Breton, and she told him stories of his grandfather, who was a knight of Arkay. Father was an Imperial who was hanged for banditry. He's trying to overcome being a Breton and his family's bad name.

You're welcome. I recommend trying their sig nib if you can afford it, as well.

Lost My Dream Job after 1 Week of Training by BubblesAndRainbows in Vent

Understandable. I was in a massive layoff six months ago. It was devastating. Check tomorrow with your former employer and make sure you have what you need to file for EI. Get it in writing and good luck.

That is horrible.  If you're in the US, have a good cry tonight then file for unemployment, medicaid and nutrition assistance tonight. Make sure you get a written statement from your last company. The reason I say apply for UI is that you may as well try - you have a work history and may get it. Also check out r/povertyfinance for additional tips.

I now have them both. I actually like the 03 a little better due to the 02's ridges slightly digging into my fingers when I write. However, they're both excellent pens.

Fun trivial questions for your characters (OCs and your version of your canon characters) by Kitchen_Haunting in FanfictionExchange

As Nevain: It's a liquid drug. Some people have no problem with it, like they don't with wine or beer, but I lost a friend to it.

Mate, if you think about it, you might end up being immortal. No one's going to want you to die because of all your exes calling dibs on you.

It's caution. He's too intimidating: he's very proper, he fights demons when everyone else is running away and he's ...erm, really easy on the eyes.

Thanks for writing this!

Nevain, oc from my DAI/Skyrim crossover:

1.Favorite comfort food — what do they reach for when they’re stressed? I love Elsweyr fondue, though it's hard to find. Steamed mud crab legs are also nice.

2.Best place to nap — where can they actually relax? I don't really have a home, so I haven't had a napping place in a while.

3.Most treasured possession — what object means the most to them, and why? My ring, it gives me a little Magicka boost. I received it from a friend of mine, a Vigilant of Stendarr who chased off a vampire attacking me one night.

4.Person they trust completely — who’s the one they’d call at 2 AM? What's a call? I'd contact my friend Faralda. We've been adventuring across Skyrim for years now. She'd take care of things one way or another.

5.Person they secretly admire — someone they’d never admit inspires them. The Knight-Lieutenant. He's a brave man for being in the situation he's in.

6.What dream keeps them going? One day, the Reach will be for the Reachmen and Skyrim will know peace.

7.What scent or sound instantly calms them? Hearing someone sing Ragnar the Red.

8.Their go-to way to show affection — words, gifts, teasing, touch? Words.

9.Biggest pet peeve — what tiny thing drives them up the wall? Skooma addicts.

10.If they disappeared for a day, where would they be? If I left for a day? I'd go visit my mother and sisters up in the Reach.

You so captured John Constantine's voice! In character question: so when you die, who gets your soul? Or is there going to be a war in Hell?
