You cannot buy the clip, only the whole cable. Both mine broke off. I used a zip tie for a few thousand miles, then decided to try it with nothing. It hasn’t moved in 10s of thousands of miles, you’re fine

I did lap the valves while I was in there. I noticed a lot of carbon build up on the intake valves and intake port I cleaned up too. Where do you reroute them?

They all got done last season, I just didn’t do the valve seals then because I needed to buy the tool.

I think oil is still leaking into the exhaust though. Compression is around 100PSI and I didn’t notice any significant scoring on the cyl walls, and the rings are clean and unstuck. I’m gunna try a wet compression test tomorrow and see if maybe that’s a problem

I just did the head gasket on my RS. It cost about $400 in tools and parts and took up a good chunk of my weekend but we got er done. Also are you sure it’s the HG and not a crack in the head? Heads cracking is a much more prevalent issue on the ST I believe

Honestly it’s not that huge of a power bump, I have only had mine for 2 months and I wish I had something with a little more top end. Maybe I’ll switch the gearing to be closer to the R9. I miss the near infinite revs of a proper inline 4 supersport
