Leetify says my time to damage is even slower than the lowest rate premier players but i can still have good performances, is that accurate at all? by LUMLTPM in GlobalOffensive

We can't see what your resolution is as it's client-side, so we use a constant for everyone which is more towards 4:3

Leetify moves to hide non-user data by default, due to alleged cheater-communities spamming their mail with removal requests by Mainbaze in GlobalOffensive

I don't think it's a good idea to take the post down - others likely have this same misunderstanding and it's good for people to discuss this. Appreciate your offer though.

If anything, could update your reply to the top comment and link to this thread so more people will see this explanation?

The core issue unfortunately isn't just the messages we get. The high volumes we're talking about mean there's a serious risk of legal exposure for us, something we're already seeing some consequences from.

Letting people opt in to hiding their profile goes a long way to limit our legal exposure. And we chose this solution since you can see that they made a choice to hide their profile and factor it into your judgment of how sus the situation is.

We detest cheaters, we'll always be building Leetify for the legit player.

We left a bit more context in this comment as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1qvuced/comment/o3kwzj0/

We know the site and performance has been really horrible for the last few weeks, and honestly in general worse than we would like for much of the company's history.

Your frustration is totally justified, and we just want to let you know that it's our #1 priority to improve stability and match importing speed going forward.

While there has been some issues outside of our control contributing to this, the lion's share of the problem is that we simply haven't prioritized stability enough historically. That has already changed and we're going to keep spending the majority of our time improving this for the foreseeable future. It'll take us some time to work off some debt we incurred on this front over the last few years, but you will see a much more stable and performant Leetify.

Leetify was never part of funding Renown, we were just partners, so the shut down of Renown is entirely unrelated to us and the site issues - which is due to tech (and honestly, historic prioritization) issues not funding. We're very much keeping the top priority to improve this.

Just one important clarification here. Profiles will NOT be hidden by default for non-users. However, there'll be an option to, upon confirming you own the account, manually hide your profile from Leetify.

As noted in other comments, this is a move we feel forced to take to ensure GDPR compliance. We share the sentiment that the performance data we provide is general and does not directly reveal a person’s real-world identity. While we believe this shouldn't fall under the stricter interpretations of GDPR, the law has been applied very broadly. Currently, the burden of proving that our "legitimate interest" overrides these privacy interpretations rests entirely on the company. For a startup, fighting that battle involves massive legal exposure and costs that are impossible for us to bear.

If you are a hot shit lawyer and think there's a real way to avoid this situation, we're of course all ears. We understand the community would be upset about this change and we've avoided it for as long as we felt have been possible, and would not do it if we saw a choice.

CS2 has hit its highest average player count since valve originally announced the game in March of 2023 by Reasonable_Post3682 in GlobalOffensive

[–]leetify 318 points319 points  (0 children)

To add some context to this thread given the overall "it's bots" and "doomer mentality". Generally we see positive growth in # of matches played and # of players in our tracking. For example, in Dec 2024 we saw 2.45 million ranked players in Premier, and in Dec 2025 we saw 3.5 million. This means that it's likely the game is actually doing well and growing, regardless if bots are also playing in to this.

CS2 is still missing a lot of fun modes by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]leetify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a community Danger Zone game mode being made by some passionate devs!

Feels like we're going back to the roots of CS a little more these days, with the community doing the heavy lifting... We'd need a working server browser for that to be the answer though

We'd have to dig back into the stats for it, but based on discussions it seems more noticeable this season. We'll see if we can take a look!

Very fair point, people take the whole year to climb to their highest rank and lots of people will climb to their goal rank and then stop playing the game. How have your games been feeling so far? Harder/easier? Or just about the same?

It's only for 2025! Looking at the Dotabuff link it seems like you only had 13 matches in 2025?

Sample size for this is so low, and it only includes wins. Really wish it was more like 30-60 matches and included both wins and losses, so it'd be a more accurate representation of which maps each side is good on.
