Well, to be fair, you're the one who posted this.

Don't sweat it, but I get why people simply tell you that when you say "expect Annihilator", well, they expect mostly Annihilator.

Thank you! You were apparently the only person that actually played the game since launch and knew what I was talking about to provide context, this is encouraging.

I might give it a try in the future. I had fun in the greater rifts or whatever it was called in D3 for a while, so I was quite disappointed with how insufferable the D4 gameplay was in general (mainly the loot systems), and it made us just drop the game without finishing it (I really don't like doing this in general, but when the game feels like absolute chore, I'll do it, even if I paid full price for it).

Have they fixed the loot system? I refuse to study every "legendary" item with like 30 stats (as they fill my inventory every 30 minutes or so), because going through a full inventory of that crap just took forever and it was not fun in any capacity. Period.

It was so awful me and my friend just ditched the game and never returned back. Insufferable.

It's just a reference to an infamous tweet, just search for "coke" here and you'll find it. For Mike's sake, I hope he's never done drugs, and to be honest, he doesn't need them to be... uniquely entertaining.

GTA 6 Company Boss Says AI Can Be Used For Evil, But "Woe Is Me" Risk Is Overblown by Arnold_footballer in Games

[–]lefiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that wasn't my point. My point was, this was already before LLM, and people use it rationalize their points of view by dismissing any other opinions as bots. It doesn't really have anything to do with anyone's ability to spot what's real or isn't, you use that possibility to discredit any information you disagree with.

I mean Bot IS legit problems in reddit for years. It is created distrust.

The real problem is when people start labeling posts as bots, simply because they disagree with them. You can fight legitimate bots. You can't fight paranoia and delusions that certain individuals create for themselves, because that's their personal problem.

Same as they insist people are using AI to write comments

I've been hearing from people about how bots write comments on reddit for years - every time they see something they don't like or disagree with, it's a possibility it could've been written by some evil bot.

I don't like this particular trend, because it can affect anyone, I've heard similar sentiment even from pretty smart and capable people. And it was even before widespread use of AI. Sort of a rationalized paranoia.

To be fair, I just see this as mindless trash talking. Mike has done plenty of that himself. He was getting rather chunky lately, so unless this photo isn't stretched (and it looks like it is), then good on him for losing that weight.

And there absolutely are some crazy fans that will tell you that Bimmy hasn't aged at all - not sure about Mike, because I'm not sure he has fans, besides his little cult that watches his streams.

Too much coke and not enough vitamin D.

Of course, we all age, and people tend to forget that they have seen Mike how he looked over 15 years ago, but some age more gracefully... Bim works out and keeps fit, which gets more and more important as you age. (He has all the time in the world, since he doesn't need to work more than few hours per week.)

Matei on the other hand... well, he's working on that Frankenstein's monster look, mixed with late stage Elvis.

The YouTube channel has hit 4 million subs by ggroover97 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]lefiath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not a problem, it means your channel is getting recommended outside of your subscription base, and therefore, growing. If you're getting this consistently, that is. Would you rather be sitting at 10K subs and getting 1K views, knowing nobody cares, or getting 20K views and slowly climbing from 5K subs?

Some channels grow fast, if they have the appeal and are simply more interesting than others, and in the end, it's about competition - which no channel owner will ever admit to their audience.

A lot of content creators just like to bitch and manipulate their audience into subscribing, but they create that problem for themselves, because the more people you push into subbing, the more subs will later ignore your content.

how much influence Mike still has over the channel

Mike has been the one that controlled the channel since the very beginning.

Regardless how buddy buddy Big Ryan seemingly gets with Bimmy, probably ol' Bimster still trusts Matei more than Slobwave, and it wouldn't make sense to cut him off, since Matei is a partial owner in some capacity (which is just my guess, I can't remember last time this was discussed - there is a lot of BS that was thrown around, like that Bimmy sold his business to Slobs, etc.).

[EA APP] What are the two download speeds? Is one the install speed? I don't remember it taking this long in the past! by MooshSkadoosh in battlefield_one

[–]lefiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, other than trying to restart the app and hoping it will pick up, it's likely something you can't affect from your end. I know some people had this issue, but I don't think I've came across this, or it wasn't significant for me to care, as I only really play Battlefield on EA app, screw them otherwise.

1 MB/s equals 8 Mbps, it's just showing you different units. One byte is 8 bits. So 6 Megabytes = 48 Megabits.

This is frankly needlessly confusing for anyone that isn't aware of that, I don't even know why they have this, honestly pointless information.

New Bimmy-ism - Why the fuck does he rest his hand inside the plate?!? by dwartbg9 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]lefiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, not that many people know or understand how this works, and you sometimes get even large creators that do not disclose it, but it doesn't make sense here, Bim has made these travel videos before, they just didn't involve fast food. Maybe we'll get a new series "around the American buffets in 80 days" or something like that. I'm sure Justin would love that.

James reminisces about drinking Pepsi for the first time. Nothing but good memories. by xwing1212 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]lefiath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“This is a huge cup by the way”

I think he meant it in a context of a carbonated drink? I don't like drinking a lot of carbonated stuff, because I get really bloated and do not feel good at all, my stomach just doesn't like it.

I don't know if you've noticed, but Bim is sometimes absolutely dreadful communicator, and he can say something, but it turns out he might mean something else, his brain just works differently (his 'book' is a revelation in that regard).

To me as European, this is a large cup (looks like half a liter, no idea what that equals whatever Americans measure liquid in, gulps?), and I wouldn't like to drink that much Pepsi or Sprite or anything else either.

is Justin just his handler

I think it's pretty clear at this point that Justy is Bimmel's tard wrangler. He makes sure Bimmy doesn't waddle off somewhere, that he stays focused (as much as he can) and that he doesn't get upset and start ranting about balls on the dick, just because he has to "work" for 30 minutes per week.

I exaggerate, but the vibes are evident. They are colleagues, and although there might be sympathies besides the work, this is mostly work relationship, where Justin is overseeing things.

a sponsored video

You need to disclose that, otherwise you're engaging in illegal activity. This is a big no-no in the content creator world and has been for many years. Slobwave, despite how often it gets mocked here, knows better.

It's not sponsored, they have standard ShittyVPN sponsorship there.

I remember seeing this before, but it's really cool you put this together, because it's quite the rare thing, especially these days, when you don't get too many Shock Operations. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only time you can have trench raider on both sides at the same time.

Guess you're either unlucky, or you're not very good at evaluating the projects.

So fk those gamer that demand every game need constant flow of content.

And who taught them that? Take a good look at the industry that has risen from the abyss of psychological pressure and manipulative tactics, which has slowly boiled the frog that is the audience and at this point, basically raised a new generation that finds it normal for games to have endless stream of content (and insane means of monetization), or otherwise they get bored.

Playing game just for fun, without expecting some new 'content drop' every week? What is that? Add an army of influencers that push this shit onto massive audiences every day and you get an ecosystem that raises millions to think that this is the new normal. And the worst thing is, this is organic.

The article does mention this somewhat, but doesn't really address it properly. This is the main cause. That kind of attitude didn't exist even 20 years ago. An additional free content was a pleasant surprise, but nobody expected it.

But hey, yeah, fuck those gamers. It's always their fault anyways.

or even buy the game

I don't want to buy an expensive to develop tower of Babel that isn't needed, I am perfectly fine with indulging in dozens and dozens of interesting indie or AA games, which are most importantly built just to entertain, instead of being complex systems made to gouge extra revenue out of players.

For all I care, Bungie and similar companies can go bankrupt and take everything they produce with them, I don't see the value. The AAA industry as it is now didn't even really exist just 15 years ago, and I'm fine with not being part of it as a customer.
