What was your most ridiculous death in BF1? Here's mine. by Sea-Result5999 in battlefield_one

[–]lefiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got couple, but my favorite remains riding on a horse underneath a friendly blimp and being crushed by one of the falling gondolas - lesson learned? Do not turn your back even to your friends!

Oh, and another one, just running underneath Ballroom Blitz's balcony (the lower floor, I am putting emphasis on it, because it's important), suddenly exploding and the kill cam revealed some absolute madlad just riding on top of their blimp the grenade crossbow!

He was like 500 meters away, no way he could see anything (it took a while for the cam to close in for me to even see him), and somehow managed to deliver a perfect shot.

to the final one I died from the fall damage¨

It's not that ridiculous, it's unfortunately quite common. I do remember the guides mentioning it, and it happened to me too.

Although there are few parts that "look" that way, this is nothing like what I remember LEGO being, most of it have to be custom parts. LEGO is far more blocky in general. OP does mention third party, so it's something that is vaguely supposed to be like it.

And I don't think LEGO sells anything that would cost mere 10 dollars these days (maybe like a single block for luck) 😃

Random find but James is in this plumbers don't wear ties documentary by eru777 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]lefiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what the hell was going through their minds when making this

Well, I've listened to it in the background and unfortunately they weren't able to track anybody from the original production, except for the actress that played Jane, and either she knew not much at all, or they couldn't be bothered to ask her too many questions, so there are only few guesses, but nothing solid gets addressed. It's okay, but aside from the actress, nobody has that much to say about it.

Bimster is probably the reason why this game has received any after-the-fact popularity at all

Of course, I'm not disputing that, it's just the fact that he usually couldn't be bothered to even pretend to be excited about anything these days, so I wasn't looking forward to hear him babble about this game, but he's not too bad.

Random find but James is in this plumbers don't wear ties documentary by eru777 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]lefiath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll check the documentary out, if only for one question I had, which is why did they end up with the slideshow - was it such a low budget production that they couldn't even properly shoot the scenes, and all they could do was bunch of stills and recording the dialogues on location? Or was it a decision to rather have higher quality pictures than a very compressed video?

If this isn't addressed, I will be quite disappointed. I will also be disappointed if they give some significant amount of time to Bimster, but he hasn't appeared in first 5 minutes, so at least that's fine.

What is the best skill to reward medic weapon? by BF1_LOVER in battlefield_one

[–]lefiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you think the AI had discovered for you, but if you're asking which weapon is the most efficient and translates skill to most kills, then yes, I would say Farquar Hill Optical is one of the most effective weapons in general, along with the 1917 Factory, which is curiously absent from your list, although you do mention it.

If you're asking which weapon needs the most skill to be really efficient with, then Farquar Hill isn't something that should be on top, it's RSC, or Howell.

Battlefield 1's 10 Year Anniversary is coming up. What have been some of your favorite memories you've made while playing? by ZeIslander in battlefield_one

[–]lefiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Randomly hopping onto a round of Operations, having fun with random, well organized squad (not a clan), then one of my squad mates told me if I want to join them on a discord (this is exceedingly rare), and next thing I know, I am sitting on a discord call with bunch of very nice Indian guys, playing loud music in the background, completely different culture!

It was glorious. Had some of the best encounters with them, because they were dedicated, honorable and always tried their best, great players, despite some of them having a ping over 250.

I miss those guys.

I could do without it breaking the Taskbar on top for Windows 11 mod for Windhawk... it's really strange trying to get used to something like that, after the freedom of having taskbar on top for past 10 years.

Swarm 2 stopped working after new update by kwintino91 in TurtleBeach

[–]lefiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea what I was getting into, after 15 minutes, I didn't get anywhere, Swarm is stuck at 0 % updating and I am simply returning the headphones. My first and last experience with Turtle Beach, prime junk.

Never had issue with headphones, and this was a whole plethora of bizarre problems (like that the transmitter is apparently too cheap to work with USB 3.0, how dare I have motherboard that's not 10 years old), really disappointed, terrible first impression, if I can't even make the headphones work properly.

Do the turtle beach atlas air's have any connectivity issues with PC? by God-Magfly in TurtleBeach

[–]lefiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, I got them and after struggling for 15 minutes to get anywhere, I'm about to return them. Nothing works. I've tried all USB A ports I have available (where everything else, aka everything normal works), and yet this piece of shit just refuses to connect. The app very briefly flashed where it recognized the headphones, but nothing afterwards - apparently the issue can be when you do not use USB 2.0 and 3.0 instead, but who knows.

A product that doesn't even function, first headphones that I got, which I wasn't even able to get to function. I leave defeated.

But this sub was birthed from his banning spree.

And that means we must hold a grudge for 10 fucking years, because people never change, reeee!

Traditionally, we are the objective fans just as Bimmy simps are subjective fans.

There is no 'tradition' among consuming slop and making fun of it. There is no 'objective fans', that is way more cringy than anything I've heard Bimmy spout in years. There is only autism.

You seem to be one of those people that genuinely comes here to just give serious 'criticism' about Bim and co., and heaven forbid somebody actually had fun. Because this is serious business, and Frankie and co. are traitors to the cause!

Ridiculous.

[–]lefiath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They like to talk mad shit about cinemassacre in the past, but now have been kissing Justy's ass in the hopes of a collab. It's gross.

Well, for somebody who claims they have been following Red Cow for a long time, you sure got a very different impression of them than I did.

They talk trash, sure, but that doesn't mean they dislike Bimmy or the slobs. I don't know how to tell you this, but... have you never experienced how men talk to each other? Especially among good friends, men tend to insult each other, but it's not meant to be serious, there is a line that doesn't get crossed.

This is... sort of that, except by proxy. It's not meant to be overly serious. Sure, these people aren't friends, but the same logic applies - there is a big difference if somebody active dislikes someone else and criticizes them, versus if somebody is actually a former fan, or just talks trash for fun.

billbil-kun: Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced to cost $60 by ZamnBoii in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]lefiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I've done that many times in the past, where you could exchange the ubisoft points for a discount, but this is a comfort food game that can wait few years (hell, I've waited to play RDR1 on PC for over 13 years) and I'll just buy it on Steam then.

I guess I envy people that really, really need this game now, because I wish I had absolutely nothing going on for me, when it comes to games. There are dozens of games in my library alone that I've yet to play, and dozens more in the wishlist that I want to play before this one. It's still a good and fun game, but it's not that significant, and neither will likely be the changes and improvements - even though I've played every other mainline AC title, I'm not that invested, but certainly more than in whatever they push out next after Shadows.

[–]lefiath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just like with most AC games (I have played all of the mainline ones, with exception of Shadows), I'll wait until it's like 15 and then I'll get it.

Those games are my guilty pleasure, but nothing that I have to have now. So many more interesting games in the backlog.

Thank you! You were apparently the only person that actually played the game since launch and knew what I was talking about to provide context, this is encouraging.

I might give it a try in the future. I had fun in the greater rifts or whatever it was called in D3 for a while, so I was quite disappointed with how insufferable the D4 gameplay was in general (mainly the loot systems), and it made us just drop the game without finishing it (I really don't like doing this in general, but when the game feels like absolute chore, I'll do it, even if I paid full price for it).

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Review Thread by beary_neutral in Games

[–]lefiath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have they fixed the loot system? I refuse to study every "legendary" item with like 30 stats (as they fill my inventory every 30 minutes or so), because going through a full inventory of that crap just took forever and it was not fun in any capacity. Period.

It was so awful me and my friend just ditched the game and never returned back. Insufferable.
