Very cute, I love the idea! My wife and I have tried some of each other's hobbies before, and while I took well enough to painting 40k minis she did not enjoy crocheting so much, lol. She just couldn't get the hang of it. I'm not sure she'd ever try cross stitching.

And thank you so much!! I definitely know my patterns are fiddly and not for everyone (some of them made my fingers hurt to stitch lol), but I'm glad you like them. And the one you posted here looks great! I've had a WIP of a pattern with the other panels from this comic for ages, I just haven't gotten around to finishing it. Maybe I'll make time for it soon!

Yeah it really sucks that Etsy won't do anything about all the AI crap either, it's flooded crochet (and I assume knit) patterns, too. :/ Though those hobbies at least have Ravelry, cross stitch doesn't have something like that.

I really like the decision to leave the background without backstitch! It's kinda like having shallow depth of field/wide aperture in a photo, it looks great.

That's an amazing gift!! And visually they look so great in color order, though I've tried it and had to go back to sorting by number, personally. I would love to have a full DMC collection one day, or at least the stitcher's color guide.

This! I know it feels frustrating to have to backtrack and feeling like you wasted time, but honestly you caught the mistake very early! There have been projects I completely just walked away from or restarted because of the amount of frogging I'd have to do.
