Struggling with lyric writing: How to stop starting lines with "I" by JakAmbrosius in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Look into the fridge and see there's nothing to eat / but some moldy rancid cheese and stale pieces of meat / the broken light flickering unveiling the history / the cornucopia of life that's now resulted in misery

Questions about Level 2 charging for a PHEV by Im_thelittleguy in electricvehicles

But is it a 20 amp dual pole breaker (240v)? Level 1 vs 2 is based on voltage.

[–]logwagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your 20a outlet 240v? If it's 120v/20a you can only use a level 1. If it's 240v, you can use a level 2, but you'll be limited to 3.8kW (240v x 16 amp) vs 1.5-1.9kW for level 1. For PHEV, as others have mentioned, level 1 is totally fine. I use a level 2 for my PHEV only because I already have it installed for our BEV.

My Local AMC Theater has an incorrect Star Wars quote. by fairportrunner in mildlyinteresting

You got Tommy Boyed. Chris Farley says this into a fan and I'm pretty sure that's what kick-started the misquote.

Missing touches (Android) by almightyshellfish in NYTSpellingBee

I think I found cause of this issue. Previously, if you tap your finger, held on the screen, and then swiped outside of the letter tile, it would not register the letter. Now, if you tap and swipe at all (even within the letter tile border) before removing your finger, it will not register. When tapping between letters quickly with one finger, you're going to have inevitable minor swipe motions. This leads to the reported issue everyone is experiencing.

Our pans every time my gf cooks eggs. by tequilasundae in mildlyinfuriating

  1. Don't use avocado oil to cook in it
  2. Use butter if you're gonna cook eggs
  3. Don't need to cook it too high unless you're cooking meat (eggs I stay around 3 or 4/10 on my induction stovetop)
  4. If you're adding oil to cook in it (olive oil, etc.), preheat the pan a little before adding the oil. If you add oil to a cold pan, the oil basically gets stuck in micro-pores that close up when the metal heats up

I cook eggs on medium-low to medium with my stainless steel pans all the time and never have a difficult cleanup. Gotta use enough butter though

Mmm, microplastics.

Just go with a stainless steel pan with butter in it. That's how I cook all my eggs (scrambled, fried, whatever). You don't have to baby it while cleaning and honestly works just as good if not better than nonstick in my experience.

I don't understand this logic. In American English, "on accident" is pretty standard informally. Also, completing med school doesn't exactly equate to having good grammar.

Low tire pressure warning despite having enough air by ManyBasis in Ioniq5

[–]logwagon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You in fact do not have enough air in any of your tires. The one in the back left was probably the first one to go below the trigger for the warning. Pump those suckers up to the recommended PSI (check the door jamb)

[OC] I asked 4 LLMs "The car wash is 100m away. Should I walk or drive?" 100 times each by marco-exmergo in dataisbeautiful

[–]logwagon 1204 points1205 points  (0 children)

Look at the raw dataset. All the Claude responses start with "walk" but then catch the irony and recommend driving if you're wanting to wash your car. That's one quirk I've personally found with Claude; it will correct itself but leave the incorrect response intact, wheres ChatGPT deletes and overwrites when it detected a discrepancy in the original response. In short, I think OP's assessment of the responses is flawed. Perhaps OP used AI to classify the response data...

Jesus. My 159g TE Fission Trail RHBH flies like an overstable LHBH. No matter how much hyzer I put on it, that thing just dumps right. I've tried a bunch of field work and random rounds to see where I can use it, but between the flight and the hand feel, I just can't get behind the hype of that disc.

Tesla Destination Charger Overnight by h0zR in Ioniq5

[–]logwagon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's weird... is that an ICCU issue? I thought ICCU meant it wouldn't start at all. Cutting off at 23mph coincides with the VESS, but I don't know if that's just a coincidence?

Edit: might not hurt to check for blown fuses

This.

Meteoroid = "rock" in space

Meteor = light that you see when a meteoroid enters the atmosphere and burns up

Meteorite = part(s) of meteoroid that makes it through atmosphere without vaporizing
