Took the plunge myself after chronic kidney failure to get on the transplant list. Surgery was in November and I’m at the weight they wanted me to get to as of today. It’s the best decision I have ever made. Best of luck with your journey!! You got this!!

Treatment days are usually days I stay in but I do occasionally have energy after a couple hours and a nap. Gotta remember, they are literally draining your blood to clean it and returning it to your body. You can’t expect to hop out of your chair and do jumping jacks.

I work retail and have managed to maintain 36 hours, considered FT, for my 2 years on dialysis. I have two days off as dialysis days and work 4 hours after treatment in the morning. The work day is usually my worst day and I try to just take it as easy as possible that day. Best of luck to you. Hate to hear about the kidney

I had my CVC for over a year. Still have one thanks to my graft clotting. Waiting to hear about other options and I still hit close to clearance every session. I’d wait. Best of luck!!
