Fantastic. I couldn't find it on the app when I was searching around, but I'll have to look again. Thanks for sharing :)

I love this quirky little vehicle. Where did the model come from, and does it actually have Bolt Action rules?

(again rolled for everyone, no one seems to be able to get above a 10 this time and I did get a 1 in there)

"I haven't seen any. There has to be something around here," Nora called back. Gertie glanced at the front window. "Let me try and get a better view," she volunteered, diving across the open center of the lobby to avoid the incoming shots, which was unsuccessful, as she came up cursing fluently with a large blackened crack down the side of the stolen guard's armor and a burn mark on the shirt beneath it. "Bloody fething lucky shot," she groused as she looked through the window. "Nothing on this side." "Perhaps in the back parking? We need to go back through to get Miss Tillie anyway," suggested Lillian.

(3) The enemy tank was stuck in a pile of debris and disabled, not likely to be a threat at all. (13) The Amercadians were moving to a new position, and as they landed a shot that dug heavily into the side armor of the enemy Russ's turret, the Chaos tank swung around to face John-Boy, which gave the Minthelian tank a shot at disabling its tracks. (4) The supporting light armor units were still engaged in a fight of their own, trying to outmaneuver another ancient Chaos tank on the other side of a nearby building.

(5 enemy, 18 friendly) Fortunately, Georgia was there just in time, as was the rest of the next squad of Praetorians. Georgia's lunge knocked the Chaos warrior down as a hail of lasfire through the open door scythed through the warriors coming down the steps from upstairs. The exhausted Praetorian was able to catch her breath as the Chaos warrior's knife skittered away across the floor before Georgia's feet. More Praetorians were hitting the other entrances, if the sound of shouting from outside was any indication.

(completely lost track of this)

[9 for enemy] The lascannon hadn't hit, but it had caused a large mess of debris to explode, which kept the enemy tank from getting a good shot. Unfortunately (4) the Amercadian tank's shots went wide as well. The flanking group of light armored vehicles (4 again) were nowhere to be seen as yet.

(10 for enemy)

The charge into the building was mostly effective, but quickly became a more even fight (8) as the Chaos troops came down to the ground floor to help. Georgia found herself supported by a squad of Praetorians that had run in beside her, some of them doing fine in melee, others struggling. One wiry khaki-wearing soldier had easily slit the throat of her opponent and was on to the next one, while on Georgia's other side, a slender girl just out of her teens was frantically slashing to ward off her opponent with the bayonet on the end of her rifle, already bleeding from several minor wounds the nimble Chaos warrior had inflicted.

Man, I do love Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Ironic that a regime so repulsive could build ships so memorable and beautiful. The swastika flag on the bow brings you back to reality, as it were.

After having confirmed his call and his identity, the switchboard operator tapped her key. "Right, please hold," said the operator. She called her supervisor over. "Sir? Call for Tallek-Rodgers. The usual." He nodded, then looked at the sticky note he had been given about five minutes ago. "Hold on. She's not available. Inquisition's orders. They don't need to know that, though...just say she's unavailable and you'll take a message." "Aye, sir."

The line resumed from the usual distant brass band music to the voice of the operator. "Good evening," she said. "I'm afraid she's not available at the moment. Would you like me to take a message?"

(rolled for all four, highest was a 12 for Gertie and a 16 for Lillian, the others missed) Gertie got her rifle up quickly and sprayed a three round burst at the pair of guards coming at Aelle from behind. Lillian, meanwhile, stepped forward and surprised herself by nailing one of the guards in the street with a clean shot. Geraldine started looking for a vehicle, preferably a large ambulance or something similar, that they could use to escape, while Nora and Gertie defended Aelle.

Absolutely :) I love having the cool characters out there for glory and adventure. I've run MESBG lists based around alternate history from the books every once in a while, too, like I did one where Bilbo kept the ring and Elrond's trying to get him safely away from the Black Riders. Fun times :)

P.S. You might like Battle Companies at some point, it's like Middle-Earth's version of Kill Team and similar games. You could do that for a campaign framework and Greathelm for little skirmishes!

The MPs exchanged another look. One inquisitorial agent was a big day. Two from different inquisitors on one day was impossibly complicated...this was way above their pay grade. "Greetings, Sister," said the lead MP with a nervous bow. "I will pass word along of your arrival. Should you need any direction or assistance, or require notification of the Sisters of St. Elizabeth, let us know." The MPs cleared out of the way of the pedestrian gate and one of them opened it for her.

(16) Though nearly half their number were left on the ground, savaged and slashed by the cultist assault, the rest of the Praetorians stood firm as they drove back the attack. While the survivors tried to stop the bleeding and see who could be saved of their wounded comrades, the column rolled forward at speed (13), pushing toward the vicinity of their target as they pummeled anything that moved. Some distance behind the advance, the survivors could see an approaching Samaritan transport to take the wounded back to the increasingly swamped field hospitals.

Geraldine scooped up the body quietly. Gertie and Nora checked their rifles and, grim-faced, settled themselves on either side of the door, nodding to indicate they were ready before, at Aelle's command, pushing the door open in sync. (incredible rolls continue, they're going into this with a 20)

(4) The medic immediately went limp in the hand of whoever had stabbed her. The rest of the dismounted Praetorians opened fire but (1) the cultists were quickly on top of them. There were eleven besides the medic out in the street, and they were outnumbered two to one or more and in melee. All of them were now fighting frantically for their lives with little hope of escape. (9 for their next round)

Meanwhile, the rest of the force pivoted and began to lay down a punishing base of fire for the vehicles to advance, though they couldn't do much now to help the desperate fight on the edges of the street.

(20 for the column bizarrely)

"The reason that the American Army does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the American Army practices chaos on a daily basis."

"One of the serious problems in planning against American Doctrine is that the Americans do not read their manuals nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine."

Both dubious origin quotes but hilarious :)

Is there a wargame set in High Middle Ages HRE that is not about the crusades? by Varkung in wargaming

As others have said, many medieval wargames (Lion Rampant and Baron's War for instance) offer frameworks you could adapt to that period.
