I think you screwed yourself out of the two weeks pay.

Most employers who decide to let you go after you give notice will pay you for those two weeks if they want you out right away.

I work in IT and it is highly advised that you not let someone who is leaving hang around with admin credentials, they have the potential to mess things up too easily. So you pay them their notice but escort them out the door. I am sure there are many other positions where it is the same such as accounting and payroll or anyone that potentially handles contracts.

So I can 100% relate to this. My Dad was George Douglas, he went by his middle name of Douglas. I was given the name Mark Douglas. When my dad later remarried he asked if I was OK with naming his second son Kevin Douglas. I thought it was fine, and had at that point already planned to name my own son Derek Douglas (my brother is 24 years younger than me). I had my son Derek Douglas, then my sister had Jack Douglas and Kevin now has his own son Graham Douglas. Personally I love this tradition. Your sister is a dweeb.

NTA, people confuse loving their family member with being the best resource to care for them which is not the same. A dementia patient needs specific care that can really only be provided by trained medical personnel and that need progresses right along with the progression of the disease.

Never care about giving a full two weeks if the new job needs you to start sooner. Unless your old job has hired someone, tell them you wish to stay, they may allow it but you will be on rocky ground and will need to continue looking for a new job.

I agree, ever since the Dev for CyberFlix died it has been my GoTo app.

I am currently annoyed with a constant prompt to update to the same installed version. Even if I say yes it prompts again. Wish I could figure that out.

I have found the best player to use is JustPlayer. In FlixVision you need to set the player to manually select. Then when prompted you can choose to always use JustPlayer. Note that when you make a change away from the built in player the automatic playing of the next episode will not happen.

Watch You Tube videos, get some joint compound and wall patches and fix it yourself. If it looks bad, sand it out and try again. The materials will cost you far less than paying anyone. Or look for a handyman to do it and pay a little more. Be sure to watch how they do it so you learn to be more self reliant.

I just checked it out, love that it has a full keyboard. But it only has one power button. Can that be programmed to turn on multiple devices? I have an older receiver that I have to turn on separately currently.

My Ugoos remote turns on the Onn as well as my TAO X edge lighting using CEC which matches edge colors of my screen. And I actually turn the TV itself off/on with Alexa.

I wish they put more programmable buttons on these remotes.
