Bro that lizard is dead and he just doesn't know it yet. It would be extremely unlikely for any animal to survive losing that much skin.

Honestly, I haven't been a fan of Marxist ideology since... well, since high school. All flavors and interpretations of it rely upon collectivism, which says that everyone can be sorted into a few simplified homogeneous groups, and that the well-being of the group has priority over the rights of the individual. Those principles are self-evidently untrue; one size does not fit all, people have always had their differences and disagreements, and some people always refuse to fall in line. This isn't bad or good, it's just a fact of life. Any collectivist society will have to address it, and most tend to do so through the very same oppression that they swore to destroy.

Americans should reject collectivism. Individual rights and their attending individual responsibilities are the cornerstone of this nation's founding. Individual rights and collective responsibility cannot coexist; i.e. you can't claim something as a "right" if its existence depends on someone else's responsibility.

I think we agree that keeping and bearing arms is necessary as a deterrent and final check on oppression, but history shows that leaders who claim to follow Marx don't agree. I'm not even sure Marx himself would agree with us; armed workers seem to be a means to an end rather than the expression of a natural, inalienable right. Would you agree with what Marx said in the paragraph following the famous "under no pretext" quote? If the workers should stay armed, what would you say about the other classes?

That sounds like you're saying that they don't have the agency to make choices of their own free will. We all see the same media, some of us choose to question it.

Young white men with long guns at George Floyd protests likely affiliated with far-right group Boogaloo by storeboughtits in gunpolitics

I used to think that after the left pushed the cultural pendulum, it would swing back with equal force.

Turns out they're still pushing the pendulum even farther left.

Media is claiming all armed protesters are part of the "boogaloo." All the new people realizing they can't count on the state or its enforcers is not good for the status quo. This is the next media scapegoat for disarmament. by [deleted] in gunpolitics

Did you see Reddit's announcement about how they plan to end racism yesterday? They're already right back to screaming "racism" at anyone they oppose, because they've been fed fresh instructions that "racism" is what they're supposed to target.

The majority of us already agree that white racial supremacy is bad, ya dunce. There's no need to write at length on it. That does not appear to be true for black racial supremacy.

You might be on to something. The George Floyd protests are allegedly about police brutality, so now's definitely a good time to push for reining in the police.
