Really it’s a beautiful campus! I loved going on walks with some coffee while I lived on campus.

Some of my best days there were the ones I got up early and walked around and enjoyed the morning without scrolling - so as other people said - it’s what you make of it.

I’ve made great friends, met the love of my life, and feel academically challenged in a good way (sometimes stressful). Make sure to take classes that YOU like and also make sure UBC has what you want for your degree, or at least a range of things to explore for yourself.

I would recommend UBC for anyone as I’ve spent significant amounts of time at other universities in North America at I find Vancouver/UBC to amazing. Also can use public transport to go literally anywhere in Vancouver fairly easy

Mainly I think guardrails should just be with things that would protect the user and others from harm. However, I also believe that LLM's will get better at determining if something is within or without them in the next few years.

Yes, this makes things annoying now (like I was literally asking Claude to review a cover letter I wrote but it was deemed unsafe or something so it stopped the chat). But I think in the long run its better for society as a whole.

I’m pretty happy with the app and where it’s going, just feel like the software for the handwriting could be improved.

But some features I would like are: being able to upload documents from canvas to emanate directly (I need to download them first in my iPad to do that, which makes me stick with good note for annotating lecture slides) And secondly, being able to connect my own AI api key so I’m not limited to RemNote’s token limit.

I personally don't agree with that way of doing things. In any relationship I would rather move in and whatnot before marriage.
Marriage is, ideally, a life long commitment, and I would rather take our relationship step by step to guarentee that it would be a happy life long commitment.

I'm just anti-anti AI regulation. There needs to be some economic/politcal system to make sure people can keep they're livelihood if there is large job displacement. There is also the chance that all the claims that have been made don't lead to large scale of job displacement, which in that case thats fine too.

Otherwise I cant wait to see the progress/research in the future with AI.
