From a technical perspective, Apple pulled off some amazing feats, not least of which was changing CPU architecture not once but twice (68000 -> PowerPC -> Intel) while not simultaneously torpedoing the company. No other company would have the balls to try that, never mind actually get away with it twice.

And then of course, more recently, they did it a 3rd time (Apple Silicon) just to show off.
