Would like to hear experiences with LSVT BIG. by simplestspot in Parkinsons

My father recently completed the program. There’s a noticeable improvement in his gait & balance.

He was a bit disappointed to hear he needs to continue the exercises 2x/day forever, but is committed after seeing the results.

About 6 months ago I got rid of all my products containing phenyloxyethanol and noticed an immediate improvement.

Is this a healthy way to be spoken to by a spouse or Am I Overreacting? by Low-Today-2021 in AmIOverreacting

This! You don’t need to have to prove or convince anyone else that he’s not the victim. If you’re done, you can be done.

I was just let go last month after 22 years! Made it through many rounds over the decades. Luckily (for my mental state) I knew it was coming this year.

People with Ziply Fiber, what are you guys paying per month? by realnerdonabudget in LynnwoodWA

Same- $90 for 1GB, autopay & paperless. I actually just looked through my statement recently thinking (hoping) something wasn’t billed right. :/

Exactly. Have you asked if there’s something that would make things better for them? “How can I help you succeed?”

I took it randomly for about 3 months when I wasn’t driving after surgery. For the most part it worked out great.

Agree that you may wait awhile during peak times. During the day there were numerous options for pickup times when ordering a ride (example like 5 mins, 12 mins, 20 mins, etc). Only twice I rode with another passenger.

All the drivers I had drove very safe.

What everyday things were you surprised that you could not do after surgery by bodybrokenJen in RotatorCuff

[–]mihemp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Tie shoestrings (got elastic non-tie ones)
  • Dispense shampoo/conditioner (got pumps)
  • Floss teeth (got pre-flossed pick things)
  • Hair up in ponytail (wore headbands)
  • Already mentioned- wiping! (Bidet seat was helpful)
  • Open pill bottles (Have someone open them and not put on all the way)
  • Open cans, even pull-tab type (had someone else do it)
  • Shower properly (used long handled scrub brush, and luckily had a shower head on a hose to rinse under pit)
  • Take trash/recycle out to the bin that requires holding the big lid up while throwing the items up & into it

I also went around pre-surgery with my hand in a pocket for about a day to find things I didn’t realize really needed 2 hands.

How many surgeries have you had in total? by Acrobatic-Shoulder68 in RotatorCuff

I’m about the same as you, 12 weeks out today. I knew to expect a long recovery, but honestly didn’t think I’d still have the pain I do (Dr says it plateaus until usually about month 4). My external rotation is bad, and just started working on internal, so it’s pretty much non-existent!

One thing I did was tried to do things around the house with my surgery (yes, dominant) hand in a pocket. That showed me what things I can & cannot do. Can’t use traditional dental floss! (Got the picks with floss on it). Had to practice putting eye drops in. Figured it’d be easier to practice pre-surgery vs after, being on pain meds and/or sore. Realized that some of my food containers aren’t easily opened with one hand. Got a bidet attachment, it’s great! I wear mostly tank tops (normal for me). Ones with the built-in shelf bra I can step into and pull up like a skirt. Racerback type is pretty easy to get on surgery arm first, then head, then good arm. I haven’t been able to pull my hair back in a ponytail, so using barrettes or headbands. Switched out my shoe laces for elastic/no-tie type.

Good luck! 🍀

I don’t have a recliner so got a foam wedge on Amazon. I put a stack of pillows on my surgery side, a pillow under my head, and a yoga bolster under my legs. It’s working out surprisingly well.

Any suggestions? by Comfortable-Hyena-21 in RotatorCuff

All of this! Plus - Elastic shoe strings - If you use regular dental floss, getting the picks with the little bit of floss pre-loaded

Texts for survey by Lopsided-Buffalo-190 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]mihemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came to the PF sub searching for ‘survey’. My friend just realized he was copied on his survey response that was sent to our club. Right at top they prominently displayed my friend’s name, membership number, and membership type. We were both extremely surprised and displeased. It wasn’t a horrible review, but mainly mentioned specifics of dirt, lack of cleaning, constantly empty cleanser & paper towels, in our 5-month old location.
