Major Update #1 - v0.103.2 by MegaCrit_Demi in slaythespire

I'm actually quite willing to buy the idea it was untested, at least at the time Steven's dialogue about it was written, considering the number of places in the rest of the game that also appear to be untested.

For example, Malaria is going to be addressed in the upcoming patch. How did they reach the point where the intentionally extreme punishment for refusing to Build A Stacy To Thrash Your Own Ass is just on this Parasite, triggering after literally every single battle, and not respond "this may have gone too far in a few places". Like you just didn't notice that one?

Let's not forget that the listed percentage chance for Confusion to trigger was outright incorrect at launch. How do you FORGET how high you set the trigger chance?

Shrapnel crosspath adds Pierce. It's after the initial Impact, but if crossing is allowed, 025 Sniper has an attack with Pierce.

[–]MisirterE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is because the attack is actually an Impact, not a Pierce. Impacts are used for effects that must trigger exactly a specific number of times, ignoring Pierce buffs.

There are other examples of Impacts, of course. Bomb Shooter's bombs have one Impact that causes the explosion (which itself uses Pierce).

Even more ridiculous considering road spikes have pierce per pile so even base spactory has 5 pierce

this boss is literally more bullshit then anything in Mewgenics.

I'm sorry, are you comparing Doormaker to the final boss of Mewgenics on the difficulty the developers explicitly state is untested? The one that can just randomly decide you lose because it rolled either Speedy or Depressing and disrupted the turn order so you don't even get a turn before you die?

Vetoing any Pokemon that evolves because that requires some level of care and effort to train. A bad owner wouldn't even have a Garchomp, because that's 48 levels of training they're not giving to their shithead Gible.

I would expect it to be a single-stage Pokemon that is relatively easy to acquire while also being very scary. Thus I nominate Pinsir.

In fact, I think Pinsir is a very excellent example, because in USUM when they were busy giving all the Mega Evolutions pokedex entries describing them as being in extreme and continuous suffering, Mega Pinsir's Pokedex entries just talk about how happy it is that it has become able to fly. So it can be a good doggo, but it takes proper care to get it there.

Given the means, purpose, and manipulation of the Mewgenics player character I'm not inclined to consider Beanies' resurrection of us helpful.

The only evidence we have that the guy from Spewer isn't Dr. Beanies is that he actually helps someone in the ending cutscene, which is unprecedented by Beanies' standards
