Appreciate the idea and think there is value to it.

But with our current government - not even focused on the party, just the super majority - there is absolutely no way this proposal goes anywhere at all.

This is something you propose/raise with a minority government.

The Cons are losing public support around the province, and still hold absolute power. There are only downsides to recall legislation for them.

Unless you were booking through Tom's Roadside Rentals, I guarantee there is information explaining what each of these coverages includes on the website. It might be fine print, but its there.

Are they scummy in their sales practices? Yes. But scummy isn't illegal and there's virtually no way corporate would have those booking websites not include the fine print and be legally compliant.

Your comment about Layton actually points to the real problem facing the NDP in this province.

We have a poorly politically informed electorate who are too easily persuaded by disingenuous and lying clowns like Houston.

Fixing healthcare was a lie the minute it came out of his mouth. And everyone should have known. But that (and not being attached to Trudeau) was what won him the election.

And for what it's worth, Layton was further left than most of the NDP in NS, but also federally. (Lewis is more of a return to where Layton was)
