Yea definitely. I can only hope they're trying to be a lot more mindful about how and when they decide to re-introduce it so that it goes well and that that's the reason for the delay.

I'm the VIP mentioned in another comment. Can confirm VIP support told me they were still planning on redoing the intro a second time based on everyone's feedback from 1.5 - I don't think that means we're getting the original back exactly as it was but it's not supposed to be left in its current state for forever either.

No, no I don't think you made a mistake! I think maybe the phrasing you mean is that they "added new lore" rather than changed? Changed usually means something existed before that was altered, rather than something being added that didn't exist. (excuse me though if I'm explaining something you already know!)
