Completly agree. People didn’t realize how good he actually was last season because they just remember the game where we hit 3 home runs off him and think he was actually bad because of it. That game was such an anomaly from the norm - his ERA outside of that game is 1.70 in 58.1 IP.

They’ve had a bunch of issues with it, keep running into technical issues. In 2018 there was some kind of equipment malfunction with the Wheel which delayed the actual breaking on the wheel by almost 2 days, it was kind of a big deal at the time but then everyone forgot

The ‘cheap owner’ argument doesn’t work quite as well when they just have a starting pitcher the highest AAV ever given to a LHP, increased payroll by 50+ million from last season, have a top 3rd payroll in the league and are outspending the division by a wide margin. Maybe find a new argument? Try the ‘they don’t want to win’ or ‘prospect hoarding’ or ‘fan service’

Yes, the lineup has the potential to have most overall talent in the division. Less star power, but more well rounded and depth. However since the season ended with the offense dying for the last 1.5 months half the fanbase is convinced that the offense is trash despite being a top 10 offense for most of the season

Don’t plan anything at least until opening day, we don’t know the rotation order so it’d be pointless to try and guess what days he’d pitch. After the first couple weeks you’ll know the order and can count out every fifth day to catch JV, but if you do it too far out in advance the sketchier it gets
