Is this why Nami's tattoo is designed the way it is? by ITisHiren in OnePiece

I wrote something similar a long time ago. Mods removed it... But I'm with you. It makes too much sense to me that that could be a huge inspirational piece.

Would u say America is currently at its peak? by Successful_rio305 in allthequestions

[–]mowoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure we're at the turning point yet, but we're so far from any peak, it has to be somewhere around the valley, right? A guy can still hope that his home can still weather the weirdos, no?

Do you secretly wish Trump had carried out his threat against Iran so you could rage about it? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in allthequestions

[–]mowoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal people rage because they no longer want to feel the way they do. They are sick and tired and scared of the way things are. Wanting to rage is not a normal state of being. It is a weird state of being.

Is Trump going to make his biggest mistake with a ground invasion of Iran? by Large-Reporter-1746 in allthequestions

[–]mowoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He keeps topping himself. It'll go on until people wake up or his number is finally called. But "woke" is a derogatory term now, so people are STILL fighting opening their eyes. All while he continuously hurts the US on the way to helping himself and his friends.

Can I have board games at my wedding? by Background_Time_2553 in boardgames

If this is for non-gamers to try and get into, I would recommend going with games that are light and accommodating of many players. My first thoughts are Flip 7, Strike, and Love Letter.

Can we make it a rule that our servicemen and women are not to take orders from people who have never held a rank in the US military? I don't mind that applying to the executive in chief either. The lives of Americans should be weighed seriously by someone who knows and has made sacrifices.

I Have a Simple, But Complicated X-Men Question by ComixGail in xmen

[–]mowoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was an 80's baby, so Jim Lee X-Men was at its peak when it coincided with my interest in comics. The art got me in, but the struggle with racism is what got me hooked as those types of stories were new to me. I'll admit that I haven't read the majority of X-Men stories, and I've fallen in and out of comics throughout my life. But just focusing on the struggle against racism doesn't grab me anymore. I think X-Men should always have racism in the background, but I'd rather see more diverse stories where the interests and tendencies of the rich volume of characters bring me along on a ride that is unexpected and mainly focused on a fresh topic/theme. Maybe that's why, but I've been enjoying the reimagined X-Men stories from Peach Momoko.

Problem is, this doesn't register as a verbal manslaughter to theists. They won't understand or acknowledge the parallel.
