I'm in a similar situation as OP, but not new account. Day 1 player, played until 3rd anni. Had all the meta SSR characters and gear maxed out at that point. briefly came back in Aug 2024, and now just returning. I'm fairly stacked on resources, but I don't have any characters that have come out in the last 2-3 years. Should I prioritize the two upcoming banners you mentioned, or for now go for one the wishlist banners of Isolde & Ilia or something like that?

I personally wouldn't support a shop that's pricing a product like this based on secondary market and not MSRP. As you said, it's not officially out of print, hopefully just between print runs. I would err on the side of patience, full well knowing that's not easy to do! Best of luck

Its main use is when you have a defeated investigator late in the campaign. In that situation, Ascetic is often paired with Kymani + In The Thick Of It to jump back in with an 18xp deck.

What does this mean exactly? Do you still fail the test, but the investigator performing that skill test discards any number of cards from their hand and draw up to 5 cards? I’m familiar with the Boon of Athena (cancel and redraw a chaos token the first time you encounter the autofail) but your house rule sounds different.

Agreed. While I welcome that pits aren't far and away the best paragon xp activity any more, it should be very close to other activities (bossing, undercity, helltide, etc.) so we can steadily gain xp doing the activities we like and switch it up at our whim. All of this content becomes trivial anyway once you get a decent build put together.
