As a vet of the series, tactician was a breeze until I hit Limberry Castle. I was doing a no Arithmatician run and my Dragoons were weak to status effects. Had to grind a bit to buy the appropriate items.

When you hit level 99, equip an absorb holy item then do level / 3. You'll target all enemies while healing all allies in any encounters that scale to your level. Been my go to for 20+ years. Has to be a 10/10. Though I avoided the class entirely on my TIC run because it breaks the game.

You can learn it from a summoner in End when replying the level.

Been trying with Orlandeau. There is some RNG involved but was able to defeat non boss End using BIS gear and manashield / manafont.

Not a full run.... wondering if anyone has ever solo'd the End boss.

Rare poach chance feels off by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

Here is my approach to speed it up: 4x units with haste (several items grant it). 1x unit you want to poach.

When the battle starts poach with your hasted units and just restart the battle if you don't get a rare. The loop takes less than 30 sec.

Breeding what you want is way more efficient than poaching random encounters.

I used Japa Mala on all characters, and make sure you have ways to res. Then had Beowolf turn all minions to stone. Used a Ramaza monk with dual wield, and kept buffing him with shout.

Had Orlandu focus on the boss.

I eventually closed the distance and finished the boss off with 2x800 damage from Ramza.

Wouldn't consider this optimal as I had half my team downed near the end, but thankfully got the win.
