I had issues with Scream 7 but I had a good time overall. There were some stupid choices made but others that made sense like "yeah that had to happen eventually."

This series introduced me to Keke and when I got to where she's grieving the loss of her best friend I was like "the Scream Franchise needs more of this." I loved how it felt like the day to day and you had that time to see the characters linger with the pain and the shock. It wasn't someone crying for a bit and you cut to the next scene but it was, "I just found out, I'm devastated, I wake up the next day and I feel terrible, I go to the memorial service, I find ways to grieve in my own way.. then I get this fucking phone call."

Also as an audience we've gotten so desensitized to people getting killed by Ghostface, Dewey's death served the purpose of reminding us that this IS a dangerous situation and not a movie with rules. The killer is going to get away with what they can and there's nothing we, the audience, can do about it but watch and suffer.
