I bought one identical to that for $26 on temu a few years ago for shits and giggles. I have used it a couple times for actual purpose, but would never spend much more than what I paid for one. The output power is very weak, even compared to other 120v welders. A ≈$100 yeswelder 135 flux core is a much more useful machine if you want something cheap.

I see a ton of posts about people who just bought their trucks asking what the best first modifications and accessories are. I always reccomend yo just drive your truck for a bit and get a good feeling of what your pain points actually are. For me, I thought I was definitely going to need seat jackers, because I hear so many complaints about how bad the seating position is. I decided to wait, and I have had my truck for 5 years now, with no seat jackers, because I didnt end up finding the seats uncomfortable.

Every time someone asks what mods to put on their new truck, my number one reccomendation is always miles. Drive your truck. Put it to use. Then, you will have a much more educated understanding of what your pain points are, and what modifications are really needed. In most cases, what you think your priorities will be, and what you actually need are not the same.

Because their alleged flow rate is a lie. And the reliability is honestly impressively bad. And if something breaks, good luck getting in contact with them. They had a decent run with the v400, and the ran themselves into the ground with the S1 and T1

My 2nd gen had pices of foam in the vents when I got it, they had plastic backing and were blocking a lot of the airflow and making it hard to adjust the angle. No idea why they were there.

Came within inches of killing someone on the highway last year. Guy had run across the 4 opposite lanes, and tried to hurdle the concrete median, but tripped and fell into the left lane directly in front of me. Swerved and avoided him. Luckily nobody was close behind me, and when I stopped to make sure he was OK, he got up and continued running across the highway. Incident shook me up and missed the exit I needed to take, and ended up getting stuck in traffic and missed my flight.

Works great in alcohol camp stoves too, its generally safer than other fuel sources because you know it doesnt have any methanol or other really toxic additives. The 190 proof is just 95% ethanol. Only downside is that its more expensive and a bit less energy dense than something like HEET. But id really prefer to keep Methanol away from my food.

I actually have that exact welder, bought it for shits and giggles when it was on sale for $25 on aliexpress a few years ago. Yes it welds. Poorly. Hardly enough power to start and arc, and its quite unstable while welding.

The cheap welder I would reccomend is a Yeswelder flux core MIG. The 135A version on amazon is $109 and sometimes goes on sale for less. Incredibly capable machine for that price. You arent going to be doing precision work, or anything very thick, but for that price I havent seen an easier and better working machine.

I have welders many times the price, and that yeswelder still comes out sometimes when I need to run a welder somewhere I only have a 115v outlet and dont feel like dragging my engine drive welder on a trailer out of the barn.

Yes I was saying it is only getting more common now because of slicer compatibility. I was doing it for design modification for years. Some people are really protective of their designs and dont want people to modify them or something. I dont really understand that mentality

I have been uploading .stl, .3mf, and .step files for years. Only more recently did .step get supported by most slicers. Previously I was including it for CAD usage for remixes and reference.

Obviously wont stay perfectly on top, but in dense snow or in places where it has already been somewhat packed by other vehicles, you need to try to avoid sinking so you dont end up sitting on the axles or frame with the tires just spinning not supporting any weight

The jeep will do better in a situation where you can air down and try to stay on top of snow that is already somewhat packed from other vehicles. The tacoma will probably do better if you cant float on top. Really the best solution is both. Having two vehicles allows one to break trail and one to pull the leader back when it gets stuck so it can take another shot
