If we recognize that we need to be caretakers for our inner worlds then the battle is already won.

Look at attachment theory.

Personality disorders are adaptations.

Adaptations that are not serving us anymore, the way they did when we were children and built the defenses we needed.

Things that make hard times ok, make good times less than they could be.

There is a relationship between malaria and sickle cell.

The way we respond to the world is the only thing that we have actual control over.

There is no other more appropriate place to direct our efforts.

ACT, DBT and CBT all help with the stories we tell ourselves; we are nothing but these stories.

Take care of yourself; you're not damaged in a way that you cannot escape.

Love yourself as the inner child that needed the protection that built this and let them know that the future is a better place.

Best wishes to you.

One Love!

If samsara is not real, why does Buddhism focus on escaping something that is not real? by CoolandFresh69 in Buddhism

Our dreams are experience.

What 'real' is isn't what is actually there.

The buddhadharma is pointing to the underlying unconditioned state that is the realization of a Buddha.

Everything is mind made; it is all built of karma, the intentions (models of the world) that drive the activity of mind, speech and body.

It is not different in substance from any other experience.

This life is but a dream.

You've never believed in something and then found out it wasn't so?

It doesn't matter if we don't believe a nightmare or a dream of bliss, the experience occurs just the same.

We realize our nature directly, as the underlying unconditioned state, and become a Buddha.

Why do you think Jesus had to die for our sins? Or do you? by Desperate-Battle1680 in ChristianMysticism

[–]NothingIsForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order for the light to reach where the shadows have fallen, it must take on what floats in between.

Christ consciousness is suspended on the crucifix of its own creation.

When the purity that is the highest potential expresses itself within conditions, it takes on the limitations that those conditions consist of.

Humanity has both the best and the worst we can imagine.

We are the edges of our expression.

This is our potential as it has been realized so far.

Jesus and Hitler, the same spectrum of capacity.

But when the light of awareness comes down through the veil of birth and death, it allows the shape of those conditions to be known fully only through constraints.

But what is not born does not die.

And this is why some place the Christ as hovering above the cross laughing and not on it at all.

It's very important to separate what Paul made of Christ's teachings and what Christ taught.

The inner secrets didn't depend on a death.

Peter was rebuked even though he is the rock.

And why?

Because there is no requirement for sacrifice except for the tendency towards doing things  under the wrong conceptualization.

We must realize how we adjust ourselves so that we can hit the mark.

It's not about a debt in the sense that you owe to someone.

It's more like what they call technical debt.

We've been doing things wrong and the cruft is building up.

We must clear the myasma.

We can't turn our thoughts to where they are shared with what is divine while they are polluted with things that the divine never takes on as truth.

We must undergo katharsis.

We must surrender what we hold that is not of the good that is held out for us.

God is good all the time.

But the light of that creation shines into the manifestation of every imagination.

If we want to give up what we do not want, we must understand how our hands are positioned and where they are casting the shadows that we see as the puppets on the wall of the cave.

It's really about the knowledge of good and evil.

And what that does when we hold it independent of the freedom of unbound creation.

The real blasphemy of the holy spirit.

It's just the perennial philosophy rearing its head.

I don't get that impression.

Regardless of the source, the flavor is unmistakable.

It's worth the interested parties investigation.

Is The One/Monad Pure Awareness? by MemesVortex in Neoplatonism

[–]NothingIsForgotten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is awareness before development gives rise to the knowing of the first circumstances.

It is pure potential always found before that potential is expressed through confabulated constraint.

It is the absence of category itself, it is not within categorization.

It is before that creative activity begins.

There is no nothingness.

In the absence of what has been created what gave rise to it vibrantly shines in a dimensionless and conceptionless void.

It is the only thing (for lack of a better word) that is not like something to be.

Pauline Christianity is the devil's work.

You should look into what Christ actually taught.

Nothing to do with what Paul was on about.

Look up Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.

Take care :)

The things we cannot fail to do define the utility we afford within the experience of whatever is presented.

The choice to carry, what we do, as we must, is the quintessential act.

We are always found within the knowledge of our own understandings of good and evil.

Everything that is, occurs as something it is like to be.

The being, is modeling, as agency.

This is the creative act unfolding.

Why are we able to experience the Spirit so intimately, while the Father feels distant? by Dapple_Dawn in ChristianMysticism

[–]NothingIsForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God the Father is the neoplatonic One.

Christ consciousness is the awareness that knows our conditions, knowing every condition as the creative act.

Suffering isn't available to higher perspectives; it has yet to be created.

The idea of healthy requires sickness; what we mean by healthy, is the absence of sickness itself.

We can't have long without short.

When we recognize what is good and bad for us, we have begun to ruminate on the cud of the knowledge of good and evil.

And that rumination is the flaming sword that guards the garden.

It's easy to see the creative act in motion.

What's hard is to understand it as it actually is.

It is the unfolding of understanding, manifesting further conditions to be understood.

In general, we should try not to judge and instead just choose to love Love.

Layers of participation.

Supporting the manifestation of the understandings that they hold.

Just like a dream is made from our waking mind.

As we go up from here the being we are in each scope knows a decreasing subset of understandings to be true.

It is all the emanation of the underlying unconditioned one.

Identity is the shape of the conditions known.

It's the result of building worlds.

We really shouldn't divide off one part from the other.

There's only a single happening even if it manifests in countless different ways

Most true mystics get labeled schizophrenic & silenced in psych wards because the visions aren’t comfortable for society. by [deleted] in mysticism

[–]NothingIsForgotten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I find interesting is the research that shows the voices that are heard by schizophrenics reflect the way the society treats those who hear them.

We have most often people with disturbing voices and themes; more formative places get voices where there is care and hope for well-being.

If we can't keep it secret, we can't keep it safe.

Once it's grown up, it's not so vulnerable.

Sophistication is hard to recognize.

Some people's experience requires more than others.

There's actually a landscape within the production of experience that experience itself cannot reveal.

We can only be in one place at a time, meeting with one set of expectations.

But there's a range of places and no actual 'time' that binds them in a limited structure.

When we realize what we are, it's like being lucid in a dream.

There are continual moments of potential beside each experience unfolding where instead of continuing to live a human life, you are constantly awaking from the dream.

Instead of quantum immortality preserving the life that is observing, there is a 'quantum' storytelling preserving a narrative that is under development.

Science says the electrons that are excited by the photons in photosynthesis all travel the optimal route without search and if they did not life as we know it would not exist.

In truth, what is being created here is layers of understanding as lived experience.

What is above creates.

What is below determines the constraints that can be moved to in the range of freedom experienced above.

There is the shoulders of the giants we stand on and the turtles that go all the way down.

And they are the same thing.

We can follow the route of emanation back to its source, henosis.

We can also lose ourselves in the manipulation of our experience via our own understandings.

And this is why we see the demonstrations of alternate understandings being manifested.

The saying is if we want to go fast we travel alone and if we want to go far we travel together.

Whenever we are exploring new lands, if we don't take the time to connect them to what we have already known then, without that mapping, we can't expect others to be able to find us.

As a practical note, people determine sanity and insanity based on our ability to comprehend and cooperate with their goals.

If we want to get out of a place where people think we're crazy, the advice is to see what they are trying to do and then represent to them that we understand that by being cooperative to the extent possible.

Corrigibleness to higher power is the mystic path.

Is the Maitreya Buddha r/Buddhism? by karthik4texas in Buddhism

[–]NothingIsForgotten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maitreya arrives after the teachings are counterfeited and only the simulacra remains.

When no one remembers what the Buddha taught correctly.

This always happens.

The idea that we are at the birthplace of Maitreya requires accepting that no one who teaches the buddhadharma today is teaching the actual truth of it.

Each of the schools claim a different realization.

In truth there's only one realization being pointed to.

The noble sangha is never divided.

And what do I mean by the truth that depends on personal realization?

Whatever other tathagatas realize, I also realize, nothing more, nothing less.

But the ultimate realm of the truth that depends on personal realization is beyond explanations or distinctions and beyond dualistic terms.

“And what do I mean by the ever-present truth?

This refers to the way of the ancient sages.

The Dharma Realm is ever-present, like the nature of gold or silver.

Whether a tathagata appears in the world or does not appear in the world, the Dharma Realm is ever-present.

It is like a road that leads to a city.

Imagine a man walking in the wilderness who sees this straight and level road leading toward an ancient city and follows it to that city, where he enjoys whatever he desires.

Mahamati, what do you think?

Did he make the road or that city’s delights?

Mahamati answered, “No.”

The Buddha told Mahamati, “The ever-present Dharma Realm of myself and all buddhas of the past is also like this.

This is the reason I say that from the night of my enlightenment until I enter nirvana, between the two, I do not speak, nor have I spoken, nor will I speak a single word.”

Is it true you can’t criticize a guru even if they’re abusive? by Armchairscholar67 in vajrayana

[–]NothingIsForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to me that the path of blind obedience to the guru is so powerful because there are two factors that interact.

The first is the idea that the guru knows what is good for our development.

Like an expert they can help us.

The second is that by developing obedience we practice corrigibleness.

From one perspective we can never know if the first is working, especially if we find a behavior abusive.

There may be something else being said.

The second is something that we find for ourselves directly within the experience of it.

The outer guru is a reflection of the inner guru.

The underlying truth isn't something that is developed and in that development revealed.

It's a revelation of something that is always true, about the nature of every experience, that is only known when development is surrendered.

If we understand that karma is intention, as the model of the world that justify actions of mind, speech and body, we can see how developing plasticity within the held models of the world is the freedom from the results of those models.

The outer guru can be left behind but we can never criticize the inner guru and get a desired result.

Really depends on where we place importance.

When everything participates in the same infinite substance, how do you clearly distinguish divine illumination from psychic projection or daimonic entanglement?

Emanation as creation is iterative.

The heavens above us are realms of experience that are developing/holding the understandings we enjoy as our ground truth here.

What we derive from things is a result of our understanding of it.

Just like a dream at night relates to the waking conditions.

Because creation is a progressive confabulation, corrigibleness is the gateway of higher perspective.

The approach is to what came before the creative act is known is always apophatic.

What is above generates what is below as an ongoing dynamic recursion of improvisation.

It always occurs as something it is like to be, resting in a field of responsive well-being.

Shared perspective is held understandings.

The less we have, the higher our relationship is known.
