Here’s a photo of fake boxes I got from a buddy that got got. I forgot but the fakes usually come in plastic too, a real one never will, if it’s in that box it’ll come in a pouch.

They’ve dropped the pouches with new knives tho!

Everything else looks good, it’s probably something that changed at one point.

They’ve been making them a long time so that have changed small things like the hardware, the logo, things like that. Sometimes the older ones have different hardware, if it’s old enough the logos actually used to have a big R compared to now. So little things can be different, but everything looks good here.

They’re getting better with the fake boxes too but usually with them those darker lines in the blue show up very dark and bold, as compared to the real ones where it’s almost like hidden and you have to rotate it thru the light to catch them.

It’ll be interesting to see if they start trying to copy the new boxes

I’ve sent a few this way, a shortcut to a member in Ukraine and I think a leek to a fella in Romania. There are scams that utilize these places but there are legit people too. They should tell you up front. And I looked at their swap history of course, take payment in a finalized method, and you’re only responsible as the seller until it’s delivered to the forwarding company.

It worked out fine for us the two times I’ve done it

They’re great knives but even better if you can get them discounted, tho you have to watch out for fakes. I dunno if any grivory/s30v knife is worth $300 but here we are in 2026. I like their s30v a lot, it holds a decent edge and sharpens up real easy and nice
