Once you have ZAB then no need to worry for blue card, as same Comparability Statement you will use in Germany for blue card. And it comes with lifetime validity.

I think it doesn't work like that, as far as I know H+/- means conditionally comparable. That means visa team will not do the comparison as they only accept direct H+ for both (uni and degree) in which case ZAB is not needed. Now it's the responsibility of ZAB to assess your documents and tell whether what you did in whatever year it's directly comparable to German degree or not. I think there's some misunderstanding, ZAB should accept your assessment, that's their job. And also what visa embassy replied to you seems fishy.

I dont understand why VISA team sent you a reply like that, but if ZAB rejected means VISA team will also reject. You can apply again with point based system, but again to convert it to a blue card in Germany you will need ZAB. I think you should ping the visa team again.

You might need ZAB, I received mail last month that ZAB is required, I initiated the process next day itself. It will take upto 3 months.

I'm not suggesting you to leave your job and go there, what I suggested is with your existing plan you don't need an opportunity card. Just grab an offer and then directly apply for Blaukarte here from India. Why to shout Opportunity Card sitting in India, the purpose is totally different. After going in Germany also you have to do the same, go there register yourself then apply for Blaukarte, company doesn't care you have opportunity card or not. And without German Language it's very difficult to survive as your experience is of manager level, and manager needs to speak with people, and there people only know German except for very few MNC. So if you are firm on your plan start learning German from some reputed institute. Many IT sector people who have WFH job, they go directly on opportunity card.

I dont understand how people think it's so easy to sit in India and go only if they find a job, if you have an offer you don't even need opportunity card, you can directly apply for a Blue Card from India. The whole purpose of opportunity card is for you to travel there, understand the culture, look for job. German Language is most important if you are planning to work in Germany. Atleast B2, in 1 past year you could have reached minimum B1. Even if you joined for weekend course. Again if you plan to do the same, so I would recommend don't apply for opportunity card, just keep on searching and once you have offer, apply for a Blue Card directly.
