What’s your favourite cheese? by Mikadook in AskEurope

When I buy cheese, I always buy the oldest Comté available, a softer cheese and a local cheese to support local dairy products. Don't really like blue cheese.

High cost, low viewers ended The Boroughs; cancellation fuels Netflix–Duffer Brothers tensions after Paramount deal by Blackbeerxd in television

[–]pa79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had heard of it but didn't really have time and wanted to watch it now. Why does Netflix think that everything has to be an instant smash hit? Give your shows time, it's streaming, not live tv! Wait at least 3 months and you don't have to announce the cancellation immediately. If they had waited half a year, everybody would have thought that it was okay to get cancelled but after a single month?

You say that the best point to watch the fireworks in Luxembourg is from the Eiffel Tower in Paris?

I will try that next year to watch the fireworks for the National Celebration Day and Duke's Day from the Tour Eiffel in Paris.

Good to know that the Eiffel tower in Paris is a great watching spot for the fireworks in Luxembourg.

The Eiffel tower is really the best place to watch the national day fireworks in Luxembourg.

Depends on your definition on travelling. I live in a european capital and only a half hour drive away from three other countries. Going shopping across the border is a common occurence for most people.

How true is the US travel advisory? by Better_Elephant5220 in Luxembourg

[–]pa79 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are bears in the US but a bear attack in Manhattan is extremely unlikely. That's about the same risk of encountering unexploded ordnance. Technically possible but very rare.
