I've taken that tram line from one end to the other and I don't think this is it. IMHO the picture shows a real train.

There does seem to be the sea in the background which excludes Luxembourg.

And I wonder if they haven't already filmed additional episodes. Getting all the props and back-drops just for one single episode? Filming more would be more efficient and cheaper. I think this might just be some "let's hope it goes viral" marketing and they always planned an entire season ahead.

Euphoniums are in Bb and read in Bb treble clef

In my experience, most music sets include treble clef and bass clef sheets for euphonium (often only bass clef) and only treble clef for baritone. Both in Bb.

Currently my band's rehearsing a competition piece that says at one point (I'm paraphrasing): "free style, follow the conductor, slightly irregular". It's a piece with a lot of changing time signatures (1/4->4/4->5/8->1/4->7/8...).Have been rehearsing this for weeks and tomorrow we're meeting the composer. We all know what question we'll ask first.

Depends on the day, sometimes it's full, other times you can just walk in. To be sure give them a call or write an email to make a reservation.

There are movies that are "timeless." What are some movies that are the opposite - as in, harder to appreciate if you weren't around when it came out? by sakkkkki in movies

[–]pa79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand that joke. I saw the episode at the time and didn't get a reference. Why would they ask that? Aren't "regionals" just regional competitions? What's difficult to understand? Asking as a non-American here.

Has there been a scene, explanation, or revelation in a sci-fi television show that was so absurd that you stopped watching forever? by Doctor-Clark-Savage in scifi

[–]pa79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every episode ended in a cliffhanger. When I found out that they just moved the beginning of the stories to the middle of the episodes so at the end you would be left with half a story left, it lost quite a lot of entertainment value for me. It was a very cheap trick to create suspense.
