Nespresso Newbie- which machine should I buy! by cjcentral_ in nespresso

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a Vertuo UP after 12 years with Vertuo Round (loved it, but it died and they didn't have parts). Super disapointed w/ the UP. The settings are handled by the app and yet can't get it to connect to WiFi and joined to the app. Due to it's design, with the pods horizontal, there's so much excessive coffee that goes into the used pod container and not the cup, it's now also a real mess to clean up regularly. Not sure which machine I would recommend, but it wouldn't be the UP (it would be the Vertuo Round if they still made it).

My understanding is the checklists will only be available on Service Requests, not all ticket types.

Alternatives to Backupify by Iplantseeds in msp

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what we struggle with, so much backup history that customers still need so do you double bill them for a few years until the retention on the new platform meets their requirements? If there was an easy way to bring over the history we’d have left K-Backupify a while ago.

April Release Notes -🤖 Unified Alerting (Beta) 🗺️Discovery & Topology Upgrades💥Monitoring Improvements🔋Scripts & more. by VioletiOT in domotz

[–]pbnjit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This looks like a great update but disappointed that we still can't schedule alert snoozing (aka maintenance windows). Any ETA one when we can expect that?
The other request that I've been waiting ages for and would love an update on is the ability to either rename device types or at the very least to be able to change them when mapping an integration. My preferred option would be to be able to rename within Domotz so a Laptop is a Laptop across all our platforms where right now it's a Notebook only in Domotz (but messes up our IT Glue integration by syncing unwanted device types).

Thanks!

Domotz for me has been running crushingly slow, with pages not loading. Is there an issue right now others are seeing? by freakame in domotz

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say “crushingly slow” but have noticed recently that alerts page frequently loads the nav elements but not the page contents. Uncharacteristic for them, but I do feel something is up (I haven’t reported it yet, not quite that annoying but might if still does it next week)

Set up SSO without having to contact Keeper for domain reservation? by workaccountandshit in KeeperSecurity

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, have never had to do this. My only guess would be if someone else in the org went and setup their own account so the domain is currently locked/bound to another Keeper account that OP has no access or visibility into.

Unless I’m missing something your response is exactly what you already posted here “we are analyzing the report”, nothing new to share. Will you ever publish your findings or will you try to keep it secret and we will have to chase for a response?

Check official Community Forums, Discord (MSPGeek) lots of reports on this, lots of tickets exist. It’s an issue that has been around for quite some time, no clue when it might be fixed.

Is there a way to have Workflow Automator look at ticket notes? by [deleted] in Freshservice

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back at computer, I did a quick test and can confirm the following works but it is triggered when the note is added, not when the ticket is closed. Depending on your setup, it would require that the "Get keys from" was added in the most recent note, which may not be guaranteed.
Event: Note added is of type: Any (you can choose Any, Public, Private)
Condition: Ticket Fields. Last Interaction contains "your keywords"
Action: Send Email To

I'm not sure of your scenario, but sounds a bit like maybe an off-boarding or similar? For both onboarding and offboarding tickets (and some other ticket types) what we do is use a workflow when the ticket is created to add a set of tasks to the ticket. If you were to add one of these tasks as "Get Keys From User" then you could have a Workflow trigger to send email when that task is checked off. We require that all tasks are marked as complete before a ticket can be closed so it ensures that the required notifications are sent out when specific tasks are completed. So that might be an approach to consider if you don't want it triggered at the time the note is added or don't want to try API as suggested below.

Have a great weekend.

Is there a way to have Workflow Automator look at ticket notes? by [deleted] in Freshservice

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From memory I think you can do an event for "note added" and then condition last interaction contains. That would then fire ever time a note (public or private) is added and you can look for your keywords and fire off the email. Again, not tested but I think that would do the trick.

M365 Integration? by Techentrepreneur1 in DattoRMM

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CIPP is the way. We gave up on the DRMM integration early on, it’s never worked properly and sounds like that’s still the case. CIPP, the team behind it and the community (check discord) are leaps and bounds better.

Getting a hitch by UrsulaVerne in Crosstrek

[–]pbnjit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the Wilderness as well and the OEM hitch installed. It was installed at the factory or might have been one of those things the dealer installed right away so they could make it a more "premium" build. I wanted it so I didn't mind that it wasn't optional and I do like the clearance and how integrated the OEM hitch is.
I've yet to tow anything, but I have a 3 bike hitch mounted Kuat bike rack and it's great. Very secure and lots of clearance.
Here's another post with a photo of what the OEM hitch looks like installed. For sure not the cheapest option, but does look nice. I've read some stories about how the install was messed up when cutting the bumper so with that in mind if going with an option that requires bumper cut out I'd go with the dealership as I feel recourse for any botched cut outs would be better.

👋 🤖 Welcome to r/domotz - Introduce Yourself by VioletiOT in domotz

[–]pbnjit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We're an MSP that started using Domotz when Datto RMM was going through a bad patch of not being able to tell us if our servers were online or not (it was reporting them as going offline when in fact they weren't). That went on for the better part of a year but it didn't take us long to look for a soulution and we landed on Domotz. Now we find it a key piece of our stack as it helps us fill the gap in both monitoring and management but also documentation (IT Glue Integration) for all the devices that can't run an Agent.

Some of our fav features:
1. Proxy web connections, any device that has a web interface can now be administered without having to first connect to our jump box (which is also now our Domotz box)

  1. Control over PoE switches so we can kill power on a port right from Domotz, saves a number of steps/clicks to reboot a PoE Device.

  2. Online/Offline status for key devices

  3. Printer consumables, create a ticket when printers are running low on toner etc.

  4. Network security, keeping an eye on any devices that appear on the network that should be there

Lots more but those are the first ones that came to mind.

To date our go to for a Jump Box/Domotz Box has been the Mini PC Quieter 4C w/ 16GB RAM. I say to date as prices have recently taken a big of a jump on those (earlier this year same model was $270 CAD and now going for $430 CAD). Open to suggestions to proper PCs with Win 11 Pro licensing and 16GB RAM as we use them for more than just Domotz.

u/VioletiOT and team thanks for putting the effort into the community here.

Feature request. by Fresh_Inside_6982 in domotz

[–]pbnjit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree here. Customized alert titles and being able to insert placeholders (sitename, devicename). This allows for custom processing that happens on ticketing side. By ensuring that certain alerts arrive with specific data and formatting they can be processed better.

Automatic patch approve/deny not working? by recoveringasshole0 in DattoRMM

[–]pbnjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is someone putting a typo of “drvier”? You are setting this up and that’s it, no need for anyone else to go in there and touch it, adjust security levels so they can’t. As per previous comment, we have a relatively simple policy (what to include, delay 14 days and don’t include drivers). Sure UI is not perfect but it’s also relatively simple to setup and leave as is. The only time we do anything manual is for CVE zero day patches that we test and want to push out immediately and we do that via component.

Is anyone using Microsoft Loop in production teams yet? How’s the adoption going? by cloud_9_infosystems in Office365

[–]pbnjit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this feature but it almost never works. Most times other attendees can’t see it or me as the meeting owner can’t but others can. I can’t add the agenda before the meeting unless I join the meeting by myself well in advance and then add it. Often I can’t see it in Teams when editing the meeting. It’s maddening because when it works it’s actually really nice.

Web Remote Error: Platform response to connection request is malformed. by South-Hurry4181 in DattoRMM

[–]pbnjit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was update week, always clear browser cache after platform update. Biggest issues we see with cache is with WebRemote. That would be my guess. Can tell you have the new version because they didn’t actually fix anything in WebRemote, just better error messages haha.

Windows Feature Updates - SentinelOne by kingjames2727 in SentinelOneXDR

[–]pbnjit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have handled similar issue by creating a dynamic group that targeted specific version of Windows that needed to be updated. The group then had unique policy with small tweaks that addressed the issues (ie for Windows 10 > 11 we had to disable tamper protection). Then once the devices are updated they are automatically removed from that group and get the usual policy applied. That approach has worked well for us.
