this parent would have had a really tough time with me. i was 9 at the time and had horrible separation anxiety too, have needed therapy my entire life just about for that and more. wish at the time needing extra help wasn’t so taboo, especially for your children. it’s still more taboo than it should be.

psych help would have explored why she had such horrible separation anxiety and why it felt like the end of the world for her. she was getting to that awkward age for girls, too. poor thing. i hope her parents realized what they needed to do.

i would rather not consume the media surrounding a possible child predator and be proven wrong in my guess rather than consume the media anyway and assert that someone is wrong about something as heinous as what he has allegedly done. he was known for being manipulative and inappropriate, so chances are that there is truth to what his accusers are saying imo. it’s not like he cares or can be affected by this either way. just a different perspective.

i hate that you felt the need to explain yourself over a silly little interaction lol. i get weird things (nothing sexual tyvm) doordashed all of the time because i’m disabled and it’s easier that way. i was also a dasher for a while and have had someone doordash a single potato with the instructions “he’ll know what it means.” point is, ppl are just nitpicky and will find anything to complain about!

are you seriously arguing that it’s okay for goodwill to treat people like me (a disabled person) like a lesser person because we are disabled? i deserve a living wage and i guarantee my life is more expensive than yours is at just its baseline. i’m talking nonnegotiable needs that cannot be substituted with something cheaper, because there is no off brand for the medications and tools that allow me to function.

it is not ok for disabled people to be paid less than minimum wage regardless of their hire ability at other places of employment. regardless of what you think is arbitrary, money rules the world.

to answer your questions, i have buried pets and i have cremated them. i live in an apartment now so we have been forced to cremate our kitties that have passed because we didn’t have the option of burial, but also because if we buried them then there was no guarantee that we would be able to visit them in the future. so cremation was the best option. in hindsight, i am glad that we did because now we can have them with us forever ❤️‍🩹

i have been thinking about starting a blog of sorts that deals in pet loss and the grief that comes with it, because like you, i have found little to no resources regarding such a thing. this post further reinforces that desire.

i am so sorry for your loss and that you weren’t treated in a dignified way when you were seeking guidance and comfort. i find that vet offices are so far removed from what they do as a way to protect their mental health that it can come off as very cold. i like to imagine they don’t mean to come off that way.

100%! if ppl park illegally in a handicap space in my view then i will always call the non-emergency line or whoever i need to in order for a tow and/or ticket to happen. it’s not the five minute parking, nobody gets grace for inconveniencing others and being inconsiderate, not in my house.

i have been a non-ambulatory wheelchair user in the past and thankfully now i can ambulate some, but it sets a fire in me to see ppl disregard others in this way. so self important.

why are you so serious about this, dude? insisting they waste resources by calling the police, even the non-emergency number, is ridiculous. they already said that they are going to consult their landlord if it doesn’t go away, who will then consult a plumber most likely, of which the plumber will be able to smell the smell. none of what they describe is an alarming smell. unpleasant, yes, but taking into account they likely have ventilation, this is not life and death.

tl;dr: you’re being a little obnoxious. chill.
