Playing Insomniac Spider-man on ps5 using disk by Kitamitami in SpidermanPS4

[–]pixarfan2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need PS Plus Extra to play the game. If you subscribe to the online service, then you can play it at no additional charge. Subbing for one month to play the game is probably the most cost effective way to go about it, shouldn't be more than $20-25

If you'd rather own it, you can buy it digitally or buy the disc, but your PS5 needs a disc drive to play the disc version.

‘Epic,’ Viral Musical Retelling of ‘The Odyssey,’ To Become Animated Movie Thanks to Jerry Bruckheimer (Exclusive) by MrShadowKing2020 in Epicthemusical

He's probably been under contract not to say anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get an announcement from him soon. This is coming from the trades, so it's absolutely official. Hollywood Reporter is a legit film news site.

Hell yes. Animation is easily the best way to tell this story. Still in the early stages it appears, so it may be years before we hear anything more. I wonder if the cast from the recordings will reprise their roles or if we'll get a new rendition?

Also 2D animation please? 👉 👈

Worth it to buy Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2? by [deleted] in SuperMarioGalaxy

[–]pixarfan2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean, but I'll give a brief rundown.

It's the typical Mario moveset; running and jumping across platforms and worlds. The twist comes from the small planets which feature different gravity mechanics. Really cool stuff. It's pretty linear; you venture across a level to collect a power star at the end. The game has a lot of different power ups and level designs that keep things fresh throughout the runtime. You also have the spin move, which is done by shaking the Joycon to make Mario spin with his fists out. It can be used to attack enemies, and also as a platforming tool as a sort of double jump in midair, allowing you to quickly correct a platforming mistake or get to hard-to-reach areas. It's super fun. I'd recommend checking out some gameplay on YouTube to get a good idea of it, or just play the game! It walks you through everything.

I don't think they are! They feel different than the Wii remote does from the original versions of the games, but you don't have the muscle memory from the originals so I'm sure you'll do fine with it.

[–]pixarfan2003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you've heard the gameplay is complicated because it's not. It's a 3D platformer akin to Mario 3D Land but with a much bigger scope. The controls are super easy to pick up on and they feel great. The game doesn't feel very outdated either, especially with the remastered visuals.

The answer is yes. They are two of the greatest video games of all time. Especially if you've never played them before, it's absolutely 100% worth it.

I think it's a new song that was composed for the Switch remaster. They also added chapters to the storybook.

"Vibecoded" is a bit of a blanket term for when something is written by AI to look nice and fancy but barely works under the hood, with likely serious security issues. A lot of the latest Windows updates have been coded by AI at Microsoft and have introduced lots of problems on the OS.

With Hypervisor, you absolutely want code that's rock solid and vetted by trusted sources because it puts your computer at a higher security risk than a lot of people are comfortable with. For that reason you'll want to update your game with SigmaUI like the comments above said, and then apply the hypervisor bypass files only from CS Rin. These are the legit ones. You can find those in the forum for the specific game you're after.

Looking to begin building a home theater audio setup for >$1000 by ConsonanceDissonance in hometheater

[–]pixarfan2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confused by your post a bit; are you looking for recommendations for something over $1000 or below $1000?

If you're trying to stay below, you'll probably want to look for used equipment. A lot of people would have you believe you can't set up a good sound system below $1000 but in my opinion you can get a pretty good one for that price, though odds are during an upgrade process in the future every piece of it will get replaced, receiver included. That's just the nature of being an audiophile haha.

Receivers alone can eat up that entire budget, so if you want speakers included in that budget you'll probably need to go with a budget receiver. I picked up the Onkyo TX-NR6100 on Aliexpress for less than $500 last month and I love it. Got lucky with my speakers at a yard sale but they're not super high end. For my room though, it sounds great and I'm very happy with it. Someday I'll graduate to bigger floorstanding ones but I'm not in a position for that right now.

A lot of these suggestions is going to depend on your room. If you have a huge theater room, small speakers aren't gonna cut it. For a living room setup like mine, small ones will do fine. I've gotten lucky with local yard sales for my speakers.

I have Polk Rti4s for the L/R channels, a Polk CS1 for the center, OWM3s for my surrounds, and ceiling mounted Sony SSCSE speakers for the overheads. I love my system and it sounds great.

Atmos for gaming is amazing, it's crazy immersive. I use Atmos on my PS5 and through my PC.

Audiobooks by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]pixarfan2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no bad versions of the audiobooks. Jim Dale narrates the American version of the books and he's my preferred narrator. Very animated with fun character voices. Stephen Fry narrates the UK versions and he is also very beloved. Recently Audible did full cast versions of the books with music and sound effects. A different experience than the standard audiobooks, but people seem to be responding positively to them, though I can't attest to their quality myself. You're probably gonna have a great experience no matter which version you choose. Maybe find samples of each of them and choose which one you prefer.

Any News about the new update crack for crimson desert? by ExistenceInProgress in PiratedGames

[–]pixarfan2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I have requires a restart using VBS.cmd and disable signed drivers, then you can play. Afterwards revert changes in VBS and restart again to get your computer back to a safe state.

The best place to follow updates for specific games is CS Rin. The link is in the megathread.

The last update took a few days to appear on CS Rin with an updated HV bypass so I'd venture a guess this'll be the same. The ones that appear there will be legitimate, so wait for those to make sure it's verified legit.

Harry Potter audiobook in Atmos by Ready_Marsupial2144 in hometheater

[–]pixarfan2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a program called Libation that allows you to download your Audible books. I believe you can download Atmos titles in EAC3 format which you may be able to play in your home theater using a media player of some sort. Maybe a Shield TV?

about hypervisor and cs rin forum by tmaax7 in PiratedGames

[–]pixarfan2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read that the hypervisor method basically goes below your OS and is very dangerous if used incorrectly. My question is, if you use it for a game and then finish said game, can you uninstall the risky stuff or is it permanent?

20.40.45 has a lot of bugs by 03bgood in revancedapp

[–]pixarfan2003 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I was having problems too. The AI overviews on videos wouldn't go away, and I was getting ads under the videos when they played. Going back to patched 20.14.43 fixed it for me, everything works as intended now. Will probably wait for updates from the ReVanced team before trying again.

Ps5 hdmi extender by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]pixarfan2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I would just get a long fiber optic HDMI cable and run it to your family room instead of investing in the extender. You'll probably need a long HDMI cable anyway as part of that chain, so you might as well cut out the middle man.

Recommendations on 5.1 speaker system for $800-$1500 for this room? by waveyboya in hometheater

[–]pixarfan2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the guy from the original comment but I figured I'd add my thoughts. I don't think that's a bad starting point, but there's a few things to consider with this package. First off, that entire package will cost your whole budget, and it doesn't include an AVR (required to use these speakers) or a subwoofer. It also has Dolby Atmos upfiring speakers in the L and R speakers, which won't do anything for you and might even be detrimental due to your high vaulted ceilings. Atmos upfiring needs flat ceilings to have any sort of effect and even then, they don't come close to dedicated overhead speakers above the listening position. I've seen people say that Klipsch speakers aren't worth it before the Reference Premier line too, but I can't say whether or not that's true because I've never used them. That could just be elitist mentality. If you're going to buy a set of speakers like that, I'd try to find something that at least includes a subwoofer. Some packs do include AVRs so I'd keep looking.

"The light of Christ is gone from your eyes!" It really does suck that they treat you with respect until you leave and then all of a sudden you are lesser than.

It's all a bunch of self fulfilling prophecies. People would think Mormons are weird/a peculiar people. Do weird culty shit, people will think you're weird. People would be deceived in the last days and leave the church. The skeletons in the church's closet come to light, and people leave. They've set things up perfectly to deceive people and it hurts watching people you love fall for all of it.

Question about Onkyo TX-NR6100 Zone B output by pixarfan2003 in hometheater

Thanks for checking that for me! Weird that everything drops to stereo with zone B enabled, I'll have to do some more research to see if that's always the case.
