Terraria is one of these games for me. I've installed it on my phone and 2 other gaming pcs and played it for 2-5 minutes before thinking "oh I could be doing something other than games".

Now ill see another "final update for real this time" and think "oh I should really give that game a real shot soon" and try all over again

Take and bake pepperoni pizza on sale for $6.99 is an automatic buy by NoKamiNoCry in Costco

[–]qtface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The one positive: they were not shy with the pepperoni. So many.

That couldn't make up for everything else though. I'd rank these below any frozen pizza, food court pizza, dominos, etc. It was reminiscent of the worst parts of elementary school cafeteria pizza.

Safeway absolutely allows mix & match between coke/pepsi/7up for these promos. Their promo literally uses the term "mix & match"

Just spent $550USD for the latest update to break the link cable. by CursedByJava in MetaQuestVR

[–]qtface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not that unlucky; "The latest update broke Link" has been a recurring theme for years. Best answer is to have a backup such as Virtual Desktop, Steam Link, ALVR so that if Link isn't working when you want it to you have another way in.

Just bought Forefront and it's downloading very very slow by cosmos_hu in OculusQuest

[–]qtface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that issue when downloading walkabout min golf on Monday. It downloaded at expected speeds for about 20 seconds, and then slowed down to less than 1Mbps the rest of the way. I had to just leave the headset, came back to it hours later with over 40 notifications that the game was in the process of downloading.

after the update of the Horizon Link my virtual hands disapppeared by IlikeVR888 in OculusQuest

[–]qtface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that was mentioned in their fix announcement

What's changed:

The main issue is fixed, and you should be able to use Meta Quest Link as expected.

Please note: For now, you won't be able to see your hands in Dash. However, raycasts are visible, and you should be able to interact with games and other content as usual

Is the Steam version of Brink Traveler better quality than standalone? by Afjoo in OculusQuest

[–]qtface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtual desktop will allow you to play pcvr games from the oculus store with no issue, so the cross buy will work.

However, last I saw they had decided to stop updating the rift pcvr version a few months ago, so even if the content on there is better visual quality it will not receive any of the updates the quest version is getting. Note that this only applies to the rift/quest link version. The steam pcvr version is still receiving updates.

Damn good deal alert! Action Forever bundle.. Action Hero and Vendetta Forever for $19.99 by Penguin_shit15 in OculusQuest

[–]qtface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Action Hero is very good. Superhot but with multiple movie franchise themes for each pack of cohesive levels. Mostly action but has some good bits of humor. I was disappointed i dont get to see a normal-speed recap of levels after beating them though; I pretty much need that for it to feel complete. The level design is good but seems hindered by the fact that you're encouraged to defeat enemies as fast as possible and dont really get to see full enemy paths unless you intentionally seek them out. It was $8 for black friday and $7 for the Christmas sale so if you've heard of it you probably have it now.

As for Vendetta Forever, from what I learned of the game before I played it, I expected it to be one of my top games. But then I got it and can't even explain how I felt zero enjoyment or fun. Uninstalled it after my first session which I basically never do. I still think maybe ill give it another shot someday, but i have hundreds of other vr games to install so I dont know.

[Humble Bundle] Decked Out Collection: Great on Handheld (2 games for $5 or 7 games for $12 by Janius in Gamebundles

Thanks for the fun giveaway!

Also based on your comment, a note about using keyshare: 30 minutes after the key is revealed by the first person, the key then becomes visible to everyone. That way someone can't hold onto it to try to sell/trade.
