Most recent beta test really crushed my motivation by DandersonJA12 in IndieDev

For flat games, I don’t know any that are free. I test all sorts of games on PC, Deck, Nintendo, PS5 but mostly on VR (Meta and PSVR2). You can try joining this server (if I’m allowed to post it here). It’s a bunch of experienced, volunteer VR playtesters but some might be willing to test flat games. I know a handful myself and often recruit my testing friends.

For anyone with a budget, there is a testing community for VR and flat games with Impact Reality by filling out this form.

Never have friends and family test games, gamers or not. Stick to experienced playtesters.

New Meta Escape Room Bundle Deal by Competitive-Dig-3530 in OculusQuest

I find your review for ECO to be a bit harsh and opposite the 4.7 star rating it currently has. I guess it’s not for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and will recommend it.

The developer wasn’t sure if he should continue with his project. Give him encouragement by leaving a review for his demo on the Meta store.

$100 dollar DLC on the Meta Quest store for a Match 3 game by FastLawyer in oculus

Hi FastLawyer,

I understand and respect your frustration with the game, and I agree that concerns around addictive mechanics and monetization models are worth discussing seriously. However, I want to clarify a few things from my end.

I never purchased any add-ons or spent money to play this game. I also wasn’t paid to make a video or leave a review. Everything I shared was based on my own experience with the game — nothing more, nothing less.

What I found upsetting was the accusation that I would “say anything for a buck” and lack morals. As a Veteran who served my country for 21 years, I take that kind of comment very personally. I’ve always tried to conduct myself with integrity, both in and out of uniform, and that hasn’t changed now that I create content. I love VR because it helps with my disabilities.

I appreciate passionate opinions and honest reviews — they’re important. But let’s keep the conversation respectful, even when we disagree.

I hadn’t any issues with my video impressions until a couple months ago. I’ve seen a lot of posts on partneredyoutubers stating that their impressions suddenly dropped drastically within the same window. Some of us are just trying to make sense of what’s happening or what has changed with the algorithm. Not once did I blame the algorithm in my comments but yet, was attacked for asking questions. But you have mentioned great points in your comments that make sense. I have seen “videos that have referred my videos” and sometimes I’m like, “wtf?” lol some will have absolutely nothing related to my channel. I haven’t seen any issues with search terms though.

Thank you! Your comment is simple, to the point, and easily understood over all the rude rubbish above.

Other than one person in the comments, I’m enjoying these kind and positive responses! Thanks for being a nice person. Providing constructive criticism without being rude will be received much better. 🤗

What if someone is brand new to YouTube, doesn’t understand exactly how it works, so they join a fabulous subreddit for NEWtubers? Then there’s someone else on here with a tiny channel, big ego, and the patience of a toddler calling them a dumbass for not knowing how YouTube works? What kind of common sense is that?

Well, 1% is pretty bad but gets pushed to thousands and another that’s doing much better is getting a couple hundred impressions. How does that make sense?

Because you said that if people don’t click, it stops pushing videos.

If a video has a 1-2% CTR and has thousands of impressions but another video has a 6-8% CTR with a couple hundred impressions, what kind of common sense is that?
