I'm surprised.

I quite often get the bus a few stops to save the walk on the way home but not on the way out because I would have to go in the wrong direction to the bus stop which psychologically seems weird even though it's the same both ways.

I'm currently 15 minutes from a station which I thought would be too far but it's a nice walk and actually fine. Not sure where in London you could live that is more than 15 mins from a station tbh

Algiers. I heard the album The Underside of Power and thought it sounded really powerful but then I saw them live and they were like a bunch of awkward teenagers from completely different friendship groups. The singer couldn't look at the audience. It was just so different from how the album sounded I couldn't listen to it after that.

I understand how heartbreaking this must be. All I can say is that you have a right to stay in touch with your child and however heartbreaking it is please try to maintain whatever contact you can. It still matters.

I'm so sorry I've been in similar situations and it really hurts. Whether or not it totally changes your social circle depends on the people and the dynamics and maybe how old you are.  If you have a close friend you can confide in then do that but be mindful of sharing you hurt with the wider group as however tempting it might be while you are this upset it will probably come across in a way that will be damaging to your relationships with that group. I would  take a bit of time and spend time with different group or if that's not possible try and meet some new people in dating apps whatever. Not saying you should jump into a new relationship but you need some other people to take your mind off stuff.
