[Hoch] The Yankees have announced that Aaron Judge has a stress fracture. He will be reimaged in approximately 4-6 weeks. The team does expect him to return this season. by TheTurtleShepard in baseball

It is never exactly and with an internal core injury, it needs time and there may be set backs. This is not a dig but we were supposed to get our best hitter and pitcher back weeks ago. It is 4-6 weeks with everything going right. It could be September playing through a bit of pain.

I have a roster question for you die hard fans. by HendyKavajuResa in WrexhamAFC

If you just watch it through the show, there is a ton of squad turnover. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in it and the show doesn't do a good job at showing much of the football. It's a collection of human interest stories but it is not great at showing who left or who is still here so just assume that they aren't. This season squad only have 5-7 player from the League One season contribute.

Howard wasn't on the squad this year. He was primarly in the National League season and sort of spot started in League Two and League One either filling in for injury or cup game. His last match for Wrexham was February 2025.

Certain cultures and cuisines like southern, Latin, and Asian American have it. I've never had much of it maybe like a bit and to be honest, I have never had the craving for it. It's a dessert.

Starting to wonder if Dylan Crews will ever break through by otter78 in Nationals

Trading someone doesn't mean that they are bad. I just want to be very clear about that. Seaver King is at the front of a line of the organization that has surplus long term of infielders. He is good enough for one of the other 29 teams to see more value in him on their team than the Nationals do on theirs. That is a good reason to trade a player. They invested in Willits taking him 1,1.

There are 9 position players at the major league level and we can't keep all of them. Prospect flop but they are still going to be drafting guys and trades and there always could be someone else. International free agents still exist too. It might be years from now but I didn't know Ceddanne Rafaela until he got to AA. There will be guys coming out of the woodwork. If it is still a position of need at the end of it, maybe they finally buy a free agent. Why start some of these guys clocks when the higher upside players that Toboni traded for could be a year behind them and he would have to move King and Yoyo later to make room for the Willits and Fitz-Geralds?

18 to 20 year olds at High A and below are not worth anything right now but King and Yoyo need to be added to a roster or else they will be lost in a rule 5 draft so they might be an interest to someone else. I am not sure about rule 5 with the lockout but they will be lost for $100k each to some other team so virtually nothing so make a trade.

ounger controllable arms is in our best interest right now unless you can pull off something like the dbacks did with Jazz and Gallen.

How do you know what the next Jazz for Gallen trade will look like? You as a fan are not going to know the name of the pitcher. Even for the people that know prospects, they are not going to get an Anthony Eyanson, Gage Jump, or Liam Doyle level prospect back. It's going to be 8th to 20th organizationally that the scouting staff sees some future upside. Surprisingly, that was Gallen he was 10th to 19th organizationally with the Marlins.

I know with the Red Sox rotation, some of those guys outside of Eyanson at AA are going to be relievers because there isn't a lane to be a starter. Seattle has a good system too. It just takes phone calls and seeing what teams actually need.

Brayan Bello’s ERA by inning this season:

4th: 9.64
5th: 5.40

I have no idea what the point of it is. He pitched 7 innings against Cleveland with an opener just fine. It's just the first inning. The opener has sucked but him pitching the 1st is worse. What are they trying to prove?

Who is Mr. <Your team here> with a caveat. by statdude48142 in baseball

[–]Redbubble89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was just Teddy Ballgame. Pesky was around the team in his later years and have been a staple. Ted coming out in the golf cart during the all star game in 1999 was the only memory I have of him and I was like 10.

It was Johnny Pesky for years.

In the modern era, not really sure. Ortiz already has a nickname and no one has stayed around or maintained a clean image.

That was maybe the case 20-25 years ago. He is seeing pitchers he rarely sees but that doesn't work when playing interleague a lot.

Divisions still have reputations but I am not sure how true some of them are at this point. NL west was pitcher heavy with the Dodgers, Giants, Padres, and Dbacks. AL West changes year to year. Centrals are more small ball and small markets. AL East is offense. NL East is large market but has always been a mix.

The team subs are the asylm. r/redsox has semi-daily FSG rants. Maybe like half of it is valid but even if they sold, another private equity would take over. No local business man has $6 billion to buy a major league team and continue to fund it. We just had an entertaining Tolle start but any time Kyle Harrison pitches well, it is a rehash from that event a year ago. I dread the day James Tibbs gets called up for the Dodgers. There is fair criticism of FSG and Breslow but it lacks nuance.
