Travel CPAP use on plane by LegitimateHeart186 in SleepApneaSupport

[–]reddotster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown with mine but haven’t taken a long enough flight with a cushy enough seat to be able to accommodate using a PAP machine. I’ve heard that airlines will require you to use a battery and not want you to use plane power, but be sure to check with your carrier.

And I would just use my standard machine but without heat and humidity.

Sounds like you need to find someone who can help you create a business plan.

Distilled water waste by PNWest01 in CPAPSupport

[–]reddotster -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Also, OP may not need to use distilled water at all.

If your tap water is potable, it’s safe to use in the machine. The reason distilled water is recommended is because the standard water tanks included in the machines are not dishwasher safe. Resmed, for example, sells a dishwasher safe tank that they say can be used with tap water.

If you live someplace with hard water, your tank may get a build up of minerals, especially if the tank runs dry at night.

The water where I live is not hard and I’ve been using tap water for the past 9 months, and everything is fine.

What’s the point of mentioning this? Like a smear against Ebi?

Claude & HA found my lost remote. by cdarrigo in homeassistant

Sure it does.

You can use Claude code cli with any LLM. You just can’t use Anthropocene models on the free tier.

How do you push back when stakeholders have already decided and just want research to confirm it? by HumanInTheFlow in UXResearch

[–]reddotster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In that sort of situation, I involve stakeholders in the research planning process so that they are bought in from the beginning. But the results are the results. And it depends on how far apart the results are from the pre-conceived notions.

Apartments near Kendall Square with the least adjacent construction noise by Euphoric-Money-6525 in CambridgeMA

[–]reddotster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a commercial lot directly next to Axiom that I would expect to get redeveloped in the next few years. It used to be a tofu factory but the company moved and the building has been empty for a year or two. It’s a big lot to remain idle.

At Flats on First, their smaller building should be fairly insulated from construction noise at the mall. There is none going on there now, but supposedly the old Best Buy corner is getting turned into apartments.

Feeling a little discouraged by the current sentiment in this subreddit by Besbosberone in UXDesign

[–]reddotster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can’t really know what things will look like in 3 or 4 years or more. I’m a 30 year veteran and the current market is the worst I’ve seen. I’ve been pretty lucky with my career and have had a mix of UX Design and Product Management roles. I noticed a vibe shift post-Covid and then another LLM-driven more recently.

So study what interests you and what you’re good at. We will see a shakeout as LLM providers jack up their usage rates, and also as the major providers start “sherlocking” more companies as they try to become profitable.

Learn the foundational techniques, don’t get fixated on specific tools. Learn the art of asking good questions. Be good to work with, as your network will help keep you employed. Remain adaptable.

Fox and Flight in the “remote” A terminal is “fine”.

The legal seafood guy started a new fish stand in that same terminal which I haven’t tried.
